Find your way around Crealix: the sidebar, the dashboard, search, All tools, your account menu and keyboard shortcuts.
Crealix has one layout everywhere: a **sidebar** on the left to move between areas, a **top bar** with search and your credits, and the page you're working on in the middle. This page walks through each part.
## The sidebar
From top to bottom:

## The dashboard
The dashboard is built to get you from idea to published video quickly:
* **Get your first video out** — a five-step checklist with a progress bar. Some steps reward you with bonus credits.
* **Autopilot** — set up a series once and it publishes every week to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
* **Use Crealix from ChatGPT, Claude and more** — click **Connect** to link an AI assistant.
* **More free credits** — join the Discord and tell the team what you're building.
* **Start instantly** — one-click entry points into the most popular formats.
* **My Brand** and **Tutorials** buttons in the header.
## The top bar
From left to right:

### Command palette
Click the magnifying glass to open a palette with every page in the app — dashboard areas, every format, and every settings page. Type a few letters to filter, use the arrow keys, and press Enter to go.
## All tools
Press T (or click **All tools**) to open a panel with every way to create a video.
* **Search (①)** by goal, format or keyword — for example *"reddit"*, *"song"* or *"skeleton"*.
* **Recently used (②)** jumps back to the formats you opened last.
* Every card shows a short description and a category tag (*Story*, *Characters*, *Social*, *Stock*). Click the **star (③)** to pin a favourite.
* **Start from scratch (④)** opens a blank [Studio](/formats/studio) project where you build every scene yourself.
## Your account menu
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.

# Create a series

Walk through the six-step wizard — format, brief and sources, look and variety, schedule, channels, and review — or start from a template.
Click **New series** on the Autopilot page. The wizard has six steps, shown as tabs at the top; a summary panel on the right keeps the format, schedule, channels, cost and the next episodes in view as you go. Your draft is saved as soon as you continue past the first step, so you can leave and finish later.
## Start from a template
In a hurry? Open **Start from a template**. A template fills in the format, brief and look of a proven series — you can change anything afterwards.

## The six steps
**1. Format**
Choose what every episode is: an AI story from a topic or a script, a music video, talking objects, an AI drama, an AI movie, a skeleton video, a Reddit story, a fake text conversation, a Twitter thread, a split video or a stock video. The panel on the right plays an example episode of the format you pick.
**2. Brief & sources**
The **brief** is the creative direction every episode follows: who it's for, the tone, the kind of stories or topics, and what to avoid. Autopilot reads it every time it invents an idea.
* Write it yourself, or describe the series in one line — *"Roman history for teenagers, dry humour"* — and let AI write the brief.
* Click **Show me 3 ideas** to see how the planner reads your brief. Nothing is saved and nothing is charged.
* Pick the **language** for scripts, narration and captions.
* Give the series a **name** — only you see it; each episode gets its own title.
**Sources** (optional) are used before the AI invents on its own:

> The more specific the brief, the less repetitive the channel. Say what to avoid as clearly as what to make.
**3. Look & variety**
Choose the aspect ratio and duration (30 seconds to 20 minutes), the generation path, and **pools** of voices, visual styles, music and caption styles. Pick **one** option to keep every episode the same, or **several** and the AI picks per episode — your channel stays fresh while staying on-brand. Format-specific settings (the Reddit card, the chat app, the gameplay…) appear here too. Add up to 4 recurring characters.
**4. Schedule**
Choose the **days** (Daily, Weekdays, 3× a week, Weekly or Custom), one or more **times** per day — each time is one episode — and the **timezone**. The page previews the next 5 episodes.
Then decide what happens before an episode goes out:
* **I approve each episode** *(recommended)* — Crealix writes, voices and illustrates it, then emails you a preview. Rendering and publishing only happen once you approve. Choose how early it's ready: **2, 4, 12 or 24 hours** before its slot.
* **Run it fully automatic** — episodes render and publish at their time on their own. You can still hold, edit or skip any of them.
**5. Channels**
Pick the TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts that receive every episode, or turn on **Send episodes by email instead** to get a share link and a download for each one. Connect a new account right from this step.
Because Autopilot posts with nobody watching, you answer each network's questions once here — YouTube visibility, category, notify subscribers, made for kids and the altered-content disclosure; who can view a TikTok post. TikTok's answers are required before the series can run.
**6. Review & activate**
Check everything the series will do — format, brief, look, schedule, approval, channels and cost — and change anything from here. Then:
* **Activate Autopilot** — starts the schedule. Your balance needs to cover at least the first episode.
* **Produce the first episode now** — makes one immediately; it publishes at the next slot and the rest follow the schedule.
* **Save as draft** — finish later. Drafts don't count toward your plan's series limit.
When it's on, you'll see **Autopilot is on**. The first episode is written and produced before its slot — and if you chose approvals, you'll get an email when it's ready to review.

# Episodes, calendar & approvals

See what's coming, approve episodes, change their ideas, reschedule them, follow what was published and teach the series new sources.
Open a series to manage it. Each series has five tabs — **Episodes**, **Calendar**, **History**, **Sources** and **Settings** — plus **Pause / Resume** and a **⋯** menu at the top.
## Episodes
The **Episodes** tab lists what's coming, grouped by *Tomorrow*, *This week* and later. Each row shows the episode's title and one-line idea, its date and time, and the music, voice and background the AI picked for it from your pools.
### Episode statuses

| **Queued** | Its production time has come and it's about to start. |
| **Producing** | Crealix is writing, voicing and generating it. |
| **Needs approval** | Produced and waiting for you (series with approvals). |

| **Scheduled** | Rendered and waiting for its publishing slot. |
| **Publishing** | Being uploaded to your accounts. |
| **Published** / **Partly published** | Posted to all (or some) of the selected accounts. |
| **Delivered by email** | Sent to you as a link, for series that deliver by email. |
| **On hold** / **Skipped** | You held or skipped this episode. |
| **Failed** / **Publish failed** | Something went wrong. Credits for failed work are refunded; use **Retry** or **Republish**. |
### Episode actions
Open the **⋯** menu on any episode. What you see depends on where the episode is:
* **Episode** — open it to read or edit its idea and brief.
* **Produce now** — make it immediately instead of waiting; the cost is on the button.
* **Reschedule**, **Regenerate idea**, **Duplicate**, **Skip** or **Delete**.
A paused series shows a reminder at the bottom: resume it first — a paused series never renders or publishes.

> * **Regenerate idea** — write a new idea for this slot (useful after you change the brief).
> * Edit the episode's **title** and **brief** — the writer follows the brief, not the title.
> * **Produce now** — don't wait for the slot. The cost is shown on the button.
> * **Skip** — it leaves the queue and is never produced; the slot goes to the next idea and nothing is charged.
> * **Reschedule**, **Hold**, **Duplicate** or **Delete**.
> **After it's produced**
>
> * **Review** — watch it and decide.
> * **Approve & render** — renders it now and schedules it for its slot.
> * **Open in editor** — change anything before it goes out.
> * **Publish now** — don't wait for the slot.
> **If something went wrong**
>
> * **Retry** — starts over from the same idea; the failed attempt is not charged twice.
> * **Republish** — sends the finished video again, only to the channels that failed.
> * **Put back in queue** — return it to the schedule.
> * **Dismiss** — clear the alert.
## Approvals
If the series uses **I approve each episode**, Crealix writes, voices and illustrates each episode (that generation is paid when the episode is produced) and **emails you a preview**. Rendering and publishing only happen once you approve, so you never pay to render something you didn't want.
When episodes are waiting, the series shows a banner such as *"2 episodes are waiting for your approval"*. Click **Review**, watch the episode, then **Approve & render** — or **Regenerate**, **Hold** or **Skip** it. Approve before the deadline shown (*Approve before …*), or the slot is missed.

>
> If you don't have enough credits to render an approved episode, Crealix tells you how many you need. Top up and approve again — the episode waits for you.
## Calendar
The **Calendar** tab shows every episode by **month** or **week**. Published episodes show their cover; planned ones are outlined. Filter by *All*, *Planned*, *Producing*, *Published* or *Needs attention*, and **drag an episode to another day** to pin it there.
## History
**History** is the log of everything the series produced: each episode's status and the credits it used, with **Open post** on the network, shortcuts to watch, share, download or open it in the editor, and **Republish**. Filter by *Published*, *Failed* or *Skipped*.
## Sources
**Sources** is where you teach Autopilot what to talk about once the series is running:
* **Brief** — at the top; click **Edit** to change the creative direction.
* **What Autopilot knows** — your idea lists, pages to read and rules. **Add a source** to add more, **Refresh from sources** to re-read pages, or the bin to remove one.
* **Plan more** — optionally type a direction (*"Ideas about lighthouses this week…"*) and click **Generate 5 ideas** to add a batch to the queue right away. Leave it empty and the planner follows the brief.
Changes to the brief apply to episodes planned from then on. Episodes already planned keep their idea — open one and use **Regenerate idea** to apply the new brief.
## Pausing a series
Click **Pause** (or the pause button on the series card). While paused, nothing is produced or published. When you **Resume**, the series continues from the next slot — missed slots are not backfilled.
# Autopilot

Set up a series once. Crealix plans, produces and publishes new episodes on your schedule — with or without your approval.
Autopilot turns Crealix into a channel that runs itself. You describe a **series** once — the format, what it's about, the look, the schedule and where it goes — and Autopilot takes it from there, episode after episode.
## How it works
**1. Plans**
For every slot in your schedule, Autopilot invents a new episode idea from your **brief**, your own idea list, the pages you gave it and your rules. It remembers what it already covered, so it never repeats a theme.
**2. Produces**
Before each slot it writes, voices and generates the episode — picking a voice, visual style, music and caption style from the **pools** you chose, so the channel stays fresh without going off-brand.
**3. Waits for you (optional)**
If the series uses approvals, it emails you a preview. Rendering and publishing only happen after you click **Approve & render**.
**4. Publishes**
It renders and posts to your TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts at the scheduled time — or emails you a link to watch and download each episode.

## The Autopilot page
Open **Autopilot** in the sidebar to see every series you have.
* **Filters** (①) — *All*, *Active*, *Paused* and *Draft*, with a count on each. Switch between grid and list view at the top right.
* **Series cards** (②) — the series name, its format, its status (*Active*, *Paused* or *Draft*) and why it's paused, if it is.
* **This week** (③) — one dot per day for the next seven days; filled dots are days with an episode.
* **Episodes left** (④) — roughly how many more episodes your current credit balance covers.
* **Play / pause** and **⋯** (⑤) — pause or resume a series without opening it; the menu has the rest.
* **Series counter** and **New series** (⑥) — how many series are running out of the number your plan allows, and the button to start a new one.
## What a series can make
Every episode is a full video in one of these formats: Topic to AI Story, Script to AI Story, Music Video, Talking Objects, AI Dramas, AI Movies, AI Skeleton, Reddit Stories, Fake Text Messages, Twitter Videos, Split Videos and Stock Video. Each format works exactly as it does by hand — see [Video formats](/formats/overview).
## Limits by plan

* **Most episodes a day** is your series × times a day, with a ceiling of 6 a day across all your series (7 on Enterprise) — so Starter publishes at most 1 a day and Creator 4.
* **Drafts don't count.** You can keep drafts around; the limit applies when you activate a series.
* **Three times a day at most** per series on every plan — more than that reads as spam to the platforms.
* **Without a paid plan** you can build one draft series and test how the planner reads your brief, but you can't activate it.
## What it costs
Each episode costs the same as making that video by hand, plus the render: **+1 credit** per episode at 720p or **+4 credits** at 1080p (recommended). Series settings show a live estimate in the footer — for example *\~11 credits per episode · \~77 per week — you have 1,418 → \~18 weeks*.
Credits are only spent when an episode is actually produced. Skipped episodes cost nothing, failed work is refunded, and with approvals on you never pay to render something you didn't approve.

# Series settings

Every Autopilot setting explained: destinations and network rules, captions and titles, emails, schedule, approvals, look and variety, and render quality.
Open a series and click **Settings**. The page is grouped into *Where it goes*, *When* and *How it looks*, with an **On this page** index on the left to jump between sections. A live **cost estimate** sits in the footer next to **Save changes**.
## Where it goes
### Destinations
Pick the TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts that receive every episode. Every episode goes to all of them at the scheduled time. Connect more accounts with **Connect TikTok**, **Connect YouTube** or **Connect Instagram** — see [Social accounts](/workspace/social-accounts).
### What each network needs
Publishing by hand asks these questions every time; Autopilot posts with nobody watching, so you answer them once here and every episode goes out the same way.
* **YouTube** — **Visibility** (who can find the video), **Category**, **Notify subscribers**, **Made for kids** (required by COPPA if your content targets children) and **Altered or synthetic content** (disclose realistic AI-made content; not needed for cartoons, text cards or an AI voice-over).
* **TikTok** — who can view the post and interaction settings. **Required before the series can run.**
**Send episodes by email instead** skips auto-posting: you get a share link and a download for every episode.
### How each episode is published
* **Series hashtags** — appended to the caption of every episode, after the text the planner writes. The preview shows the result.
* **YouTube title** — type `{title}` where the episode title goes and `{series}` for the series name, for example `{title} | {series}`. Leave it empty to use the episode title on its own.
* **Keep producing when a channel fails** — when on, episodes keep being made; a failed channel is emailed to you with the video and the series carries on.
### Emails
* **Email me about this series** — approval requests, reminders, delivered videos, publish failures and pauses. Turn it off and everything shows only in the app.
* **Email me when an episode is ready** and **Email me when an episode is published** — fine-tune which notices you get.
## When
* **Days** — **Daily**, **Weekdays**, **3× a week**, **Weekly** or **Custom** (pick any days, Monday to Sunday).
* **Times** — add one or more times per day; each time is one episode on the days you picked. Your plan sets how many times a series can have per day (1 on Starter, 2 on Creator, 3 on Pro and above), and Autopilot produces up to 6 episodes a day across all your series (7 on Enterprise).
* **Timezone** — the series follows your account timezone; the current time is shown next to it, with a shortcut to change it.
**Before an episode goes out:**
* **I approve each episode** *(recommended)* — written, voiced and illustrated, then emailed to you; rendered and published only after you approve. Choose to have it ready **2, 4, 12 or 24 hours** before its slot.
* **Run it fully automatic** — renders and publishes at its time on its own. You can still hold, edit or skip any episode before it goes out.

> Some formats generate images first and animate them in the editor (for example *Scene images* in Talking Objects or AI Dramas). For those, approval stays on so you can animate before rendering.
## How it looks
For each section in *Look & variety*, choose **one** option, or add **several** and let the AI pick per episode. The counter next to a pool shows how many you've added out of your plan's limit (3 on Starter, 5 on Creator, 8 on Pro, 10 on Studio and Enterprise).

Render credits are charged when an episode renders; generation credits are separate. The footer adds it all up — for example *\~11 credits per episode · \~77 per week — you have 1,418 → \~18 weeks*.
## Danger zone
**Delete** removes the series, its queue and its history for good. Videos that were already made stay in your library.

## How it works
**1. Get your link**
Your link looks like `crealix.ai/?ref=your-name`. Click **Edit** to choose your own slug.
**2. Share it**
Put it in your video descriptions, bio, newsletter or tutorials. Anyone who signs up through it is tracked as your referral.
**3. Earn on every payment**
You earn 30% of every subscription payment from your referrals, for life.
**4. Get paid**
Commissions are held for 30 days (to cover refunds), then released. Withdraw once you have **\$50** available, or let Stripe pay you automatically on the 1st of each month.
## Your dashboard
* **Stats** for the last 30 days: clicks, sign-ups, paying customers and earnings.
* **Referrals** — who signed up through your link (emails are partly hidden for privacy).
* **Commissions** — every commission, with its status.
* **Payouts** — what's been paid to you.

Pick a pack and complete the payment. The credits land in your **Purchased** bucket straight away, **never expire**, and are spent after your gifted and plan credits.

> Credit packs add credits only (①). Exporting without the Crealix watermark, rendering, publishing and Autopilot come with a [plan](/billing/plans) — and a plan also refills your balance every month, which works out cheaper per credit.
## Billing information
**Settings › Billing Information** shows your current plan, your next renewal date and your payment method. From here you can:
* **Change plan** — upgrade, downgrade or switch between monthly and annual. See [Change or cancel your plan](/billing/plans#change-or-cancel-your-plan).
* **Update your payment method**.
* **Cancel** your subscription.
Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. Crealix never stores your full card details.
## Invoices
**Settings › Invoices** lists every payment — subscriptions and credit packs — with the date, the amount and a downloadable invoice for each.
# Credits

How credits work: your wallet, what costs credits, when they're reserved, settled, refunded or expire, and how to read your activity.
Credits are the single currency for everything in Crealix that runs AI. Your balance is always visible in the top bar and at the bottom of the sidebar, and it updates live.
## Your wallet
Open **Settings › Credits** (or click your balance).
**Total available** (①) is what you can spend right now. It's made of three buckets:

Credits are spent in this order: **gifted**, then **plan**, then **purchased** — so the credits that never expire are kept for last.

For example, a 1-minute video costs about **2 / 6 / 24 credits** to cloud render at 720p / 1080p / 4K.
Character-heavy formats cost more because every scene is a generated video clip — for example a 60-second AI Drama or Talking Objects video is about 143 credits, an AI Skeleton video about 174, and an AI Movie about 273. **The exact price is always shown before you confirm.**
## Reserved, settled, refunded
**1. Reserved**
When a generation starts, its quoted cost is **reserved** from your balance so you can't overspend.
**2. Settled on the actual cost**
When it finishes, you're charged for what was actually produced — never more than the quote. If the video came out shorter or used fewer scenes, the difference goes back to your balance.
**3. Refunded on failure**
If a generation fails, its credits are **refunded** automatically.
## Activity
The **Activity** list (⑥ ⑦) shows every movement with its amount and time: credits **reserved** when something starts, **consumed** when it's settled, and **refunded** when it fails or comes in under the quote — plus plan renewals, purchases and rewards. Switch to **Table** for a compact list you can page through.

These are examples, not quotas — one credit balance covers everything, so you can mix formats and tools any way you like. The **plan calculator** on the pricing page estimates your needs from the video type, how often you post, the length, images vs animated clips, and whether you export in the cloud.
## The free plan
Without a plan you can sign up, explore every tool, and **create and preview** videos in the editor with your welcome credits. Rendering, downloading and publishing a finished file — and running Autopilot — need a paid plan. Videos previewed on the free plan show the Crealix watermark. The free plan includes 1 GB of storage and one designed voice.
## Monthly or annual
* **Annual** billing saves 20% (①). You're billed once a year and your credits refill every month.
* **Plan credits** are valid until the end of each billing period. Credits you buy separately never expire. See [Credits](/billing/credits).
## Change or cancel your plan
> **Upgrading**
>
> An upgrade starts immediately: you're charged the new plan's price today, your billing cycle restarts from today, and the new plan's credits are added right away.
> **Downgrading**
>
> A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal. You keep your current plan and credits until then.
> **Cancelling**
>
> Cancel any time from **Settings › Billing Information**. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for; then the account returns to the free plan. Purchased and gifted credits stay in your wallet, and your files stay stored — but creating pauses while you're above the free plan's storage.
> **Failed payments**
>
> If a renewal payment fails, we email you and retry, and your plan keeps working in the meantime. Update your payment method in **Billing Information** to keep your plan. After repeated failed attempts the subscription is cancelled automatically.
# Captions

Word-by-word animated captions: pick one of 48 styles, choose the position, or design every detail and save your own style.
Captions are generated automatically and timed **word by word** to the narration. Most viewers watch with the sound off, so captions do a lot of the work — Crealix makes them easy to style. Open **Captions** in the tool rail.
## Pick a style
1. The **Library** tab (①) is where you browse; **Custom** is where you design.
2. **Position (②)** — **Top**, **Center** or **Bottom**. Bottom is the safe default for TikTok and Reels; Center works well for story formats where nothing else is in the middle of the frame.
3. **My Captions (③)** shows the styles you've saved, marked **Yours**. The active one shows **On**. Click **+ New style** to start a new one; the ⋮ menu on each card has more options.
4. The **Library** has 48 ready-made styles — from clean (*Default*, *Ariel*, *Elegant*) to bold short-form looks (*Beast*, *Umi*, *Wrap*, *Tiktok*, *Neon*, *Marker*). Each is previewed on a real word from your video. Click **Use (④)** to apply one.
## Design your own
Switch to **Custom** to change every detail of the current style. The preview at the top updates as you go.

> * **Font** — clean sans-serifs for readability or display faces like Playfair Display for character.
> * **Weight** — how bold the letters are (for example *400 - Regular*).
> * **Size** — in pixels, measured on a 1080p frame so it looks the same at every export resolution.
> * **Transform** — None, UPPERCASE, lowercase or Capitalize.
> **Colors**
>
> * **Active word** — the word being spoken right now.
> * **Inactive word** — the other words on screen.
> * **Background** — an optional box behind the caption.
> **Animation**
>
> How words appear: **None**, **Pop**, **Beast Pop**, **Bounce In**, **Karaoke Fill**, **Hormozi Box**, **Box Trail**, **Whip Slide**, **Shake**, **Earthquake**, **Heartbeat**, **Wave**, **Spin Stamp**, **Slot Roll**, **Blur Focus**, **RGB Glitch**, **Typewriter** or **Clean Fade**.

> * **Highlight** for the active word — **Color**, **Box**, **Underline**, **Glow** or **Marker**.
> * **Shadow** — None, Soft, Heavy, Neon, Outline glow or 3D extrude, with its own **shadow color** (or Auto).
> * **Stroke width** — an outline around every letter, in pixels.
> **Layout**

> * **Position from bottom** — the exact height, as a percentage of the frame.
> * **Words per batch** — how many words are on screen at once. **1** gives the punchy one-word-at-a-time look; 3–5 reads more naturally for long videos.
At the bottom of the panel:
* **Update "…"** saves your changes to the style you're editing.
* **Save as new style** adds it to **My Captions** as a new style you can reuse on any video.
* **Reset** returns to the original settings.

> Set your favourite caption style as a default in [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand) and every new video will start with it. Manage all your saved styles in [My Captions](/workspace/my-captions).
## Captions from your own audio
When a video's sound comes from uploaded media rather than Crealix narration — for example a [Split Video](/formats/split-videos) or a [Music Video](/formats/music-video) — the panel offers **Generate captions**. Crealix transcribes the audio (for songs it separates the vocals first and captions the lyrics). It's free.
## Remove captions
Some formats work better without captions — for example when the text is already on screen, as in [Fake Text Messages](/formats/fake-text-messages). Use **Remove captions** in the panel, or switch captions off in the creator form.
# Music & sound effects

Choose background music, upload your own track, set the volume per scene, and place sound effects on hooks, transitions and payoffs.
Sound is half of a good short. Crealix picks music and a few sound effects for you when it generates a video; this page shows how to change them.
## Background music
Open **Audio** in the tool rail.
1. The **current track (①)** is pinned at the top with its source (*Library*, *My Music* or *Custom*). Press play to hear it, or **×** to remove it.
2. **Volume (②)** sets the music level under the narration. **10–20%** keeps the voice clear; go higher for music-led videos.
3. Choose where the track comes from **(③)**:
**Library**
49 curated tracks tagged by mood — *Calm*, *Epic*, *Suspense*, *Romantic*, *Futuristic*, *Tiktok*, *Popular* and more. Search by name or mood, press play to preview, and click **Use (⑤)**.
**My Music**
Tracks you generated with [AI Music](/tools/ai-music) or uploaded before. Music made in Crealix is yours to publish.
**Custom**
Upload your own audio file (up to 20 MB). It's stored securely in your project and used as the background track.

> **Publishing on YouTube?** Some library tracks may trigger copyright claims **(④)**. Music you generate with [AI Music](/tools/ai-music) or tracks you own are the safer choice.
### Music volume per scene
Each scene has its own **Background music** slider in its playback settings (see [Scenes](/editor/scenes#inside-a-scene)). By default every scene *uses the global level*; drag a scene's slider to drop the music under a key line or raise it for a montage.
## Sound effects
Open **Sounds** to see every sound effect in the video.
Crealix adds a few sounds automatically, placed where they help retention. Each one shows its **tag**, the **scene** and **time** where it plays, and its **volume**:

* Click a sound **(③)** to change it, move it or set its own volume, or press play to hear it.
### Add a sound
Click **+ (①)** to open the sound picker:
**1. Pick a sound**
Search, or filter by **Hook**, **Transition**, **Tension**, **Payoff** or **Dopamine (①)**. Press play on any sound **(②)** to preview it, then click it to select it.
**2. Choose where it plays**
Pick the **scene (③)**, then the **position (④)**: **Start**, **Middle**, **End**, or **Custom** for an exact time offset.
**3. Set the volume and add**
Leave **Auto** to follow the master volume, or choose **Custom (⑤)**. Click **Add sound (⑥)**.

>
> Less is more. One sound on the hook, a few on key transitions and one on the payoff usually beats a sound on every cut. Avoid ticking clocks under narration — they compete with the voice.
# The editor

Every Crealix video opens in the same editor. Learn the layout, the tool rail, the top bar, and what's free versus what costs credits.
The editor is where a generated draft becomes your video. It works the same way for every format — an AI story, a Reddit story, a fake text conversation or a Studio project — with a few extra panels for formats that need them.
## Layout

## What's free and what costs credits
> **Free**
>
> Editing text and timing, reordering scenes, captions and caption styles, music, voice effects, sound effects, overlays, your logo, transitions, camera effects, uploading your own media, and browser renders.
> **Uses credits**
>
> Anything that runs AI again: re-recording narration, regenerating a scene image, animating a scene into video, generating an AI cover, and cloud renders. The exact cost is always shown on the button before you click.
## After rendering
When a render finishes, the editor switches to **Your video is ready**:
* **Publish (①)** sends the video straight to your connected TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts.
* **Download (②)** saves the MP4.
* **Edit (③)** goes back into the editor.
Editing a rendered video is always possible. Crealix asks you to confirm first, because the current render no longer matches once you change something — just render again when you're done.

# Publish & share

Post straight to TikTok, YouTube and Instagram from Crealix with a caption per network, or share a public link to any video.
## Publish to social
After rendering, click **Publish**. Crealix uploads the video directly to the accounts you choose — no downloading and re-uploading.
**1. Pick where it goes**
Under **Where to publish (①)**, click one or more of your connected accounts on **TikTok**, **YouTube** and **Instagram** — a check mark shows they're selected. The number next to each network is how many accounts you've connected. Don't see an account? [Connect it first](/workspace/social-accounts).
**2. Write a caption per network**
Each selected account gets its own card **(②)**, pre-filled with your video's title.
**TikTok**
* **Title** — the caption, up to 2,200 characters.
* **Hashtags** — up to 30. Reuse your **recently used** tags or click **Use last set**.
* **Advanced options**: **Audience** — who can view the post (required by TikTok); allow **comments**, **Duet** and **Stitch**; **Disclose commercial content** for branded posts; and the **AI-generated content** label, on by default for Crealix videos.
* It may take a few minutes after publishing for the video to appear on your profile.
**YouTube**
* **Title** (required) and **description** (up to 5,000 characters).
* **Hashtags** and **tags** — search phrases up to 500 characters in total; if tags are empty, your hashtags are used.
* **Advanced**: visibility (*Public*, *Unlisted* or *Private*), category, **made for kids**, and the **altered or synthetic content** disclosure for realistic AI content.
* Your cover is uploaded as the custom thumbnail (verified channels only — see [Covers & thumbnails](/editor/thumbnail#youtube-thumbnails)).
**Instagram**
* **Caption** and **hashtags** for the Reel.
**3. Publish**
The footer shows how many accounts you're posting to (for example *Posting to 2 accounts*). Click **Publish (③)** and Crealix uploads to each one.

> **Hashtag shortcuts:** press Enter, Space or a comma to add a tag, click a **recently used** tag to add it, or **Use last set** to repeat the hashtags from your previous post.

## Share a link
Click the **share** icon in the editor's top bar to get a public link like `crealix.ai/share/…`.
* **Anyone with the link can watch** — no account needed.
* It works **before you render**: a work-in-progress video shows a live preview.
* Choose when the link expires: **in 24 hours**, **in 7 days**, **in 30 days** or **never**.
* **Delete link** at any time and it stops working immediately.
Share links are perfect for getting feedback from a client or teammate. They never expose your account details. You can share images and music tracks the same way from your [media library](/workspace/media-library).
# Render & download

Export your video for free in your browser, or in the cloud up to 4K — and see the exact cost before anything starts.
Rendering turns your project into a final MP4. Click **Render** in the top-right corner of the editor. The dialog shows the duration, the number of scenes and the exact cost **before** anything starts.
## Choose a render method and quality
> **Cloud render**
>
> Rendered on Crealix's servers — fast, up to **4K**, and you can close the tab while it runs. Uses credits based on the quality and the length of the video.
> **In your browser**
>
> Rendered on your own device at **720p or 1080p**. **Free and unlimited** — no credits. Keep the tab open and in the foreground until it finishes.
### What cloud render costs
The price depends on the quality and the length of the video. For the 59-second, 11-scene video in the screenshot:

The **Credits** box in the summary **(③)** and the button **(④)** always show the exact total for your video. Click **Render** to start; progress shows in the editor and in **Videos**, and you can keep working on other projects meanwhile.

> Rendering, downloading and publishing require an active plan. On the free plan you can create and preview videos in the editor. Paid plans also remove the Crealix watermark. See [Plans](/billing/plans).
## Download
When the render finishes, the editor shows **Your video is ready**.
Click **Download (②)** to save the MP4. You can download it again any time from the video's page or from your [media library](/workspace/media-library).
## Make more changes
Click **Edit (③)** to go back into the editor. Rendering doesn't lock anything — Crealix asks you to confirm because the current render will no longer match your changes, then you render again when you're done.
## Tips for the best export
> **Which quality should I pick?**
>
> **1080p** is the standard for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Choose **4K** for YouTube long-form or when you'll re-edit the file elsewhere. **720p** is fine for quick drafts and client previews.
> **My browser render is slow or stopped**
>
> Browser renders use your computer's power. Keep the tab in the foreground, close heavy apps, and don't let the computer sleep. For long videos, cloud render is faster and keeps running if you close the tab.
> **Can I upscale an existing export to 4K?**
>
> Yes — use the [AI Upscaler](/tools/upscaler) to take any video or image up to 1080p, 2K or 4K.
> **Why does my cover appear as the first frame?**
>
> Crealix places your cover on the first frame of the MP4 so TikTok, Reels and Shorts pick it as the thumbnail. Change it in [Covers & thumbnails](/editor/thumbnail).
# Scenes & animation

Edit each scene's words, voice, timing and media, add camera effects and transitions, and turn still images into AI video clips.
A video is a sequence of **scenes**. Each scene has a line of script, a voice recording, a duration, and a piece of media (an AI image, an AI video clip, stock footage or your own upload). Open **Scenes** in the tool rail to work on them.
## The scene list
Each card shows the scene number (**S1**, **S2**…), its media type (**IMAGE** or **VIDEO**), **ANIMATE** when the image can be turned into a clip, its duration, and the first words of its line. A green dot marks the scene that's playing in the preview.
**At the top of the panel**
* **View full script** (document icon) — read and edit the whole script in one place.
* **Expand / collapse all** (arrows icon).
* **+** — add a new scene at the end.
**On each card**
* Click the card to jump the preview to that scene; click the chevron to expand it.
* **Drag** the card to reorder scenes.
* **Open scene editor** (diagonal arrows) opens the scene in a larger view.
* **Delete** (bin) removes the scene.
* **Animate to video** — shortcut to turn the image into a clip (see below).
**Between two cards**
* **Transition chip** (for example **Cut**) — choose how this scene changes into the next one.
* **Transition scene** (clapper icon) — generate a short AI clip that bridges the two scenes by interpolating from the last frame of one to the first frame of the next. Available when a first-and-last-frame video model is enabled.
* **+** — insert a new scene here.
## Inside a scene
> **① Text — what's said in this scene**
>
> The words spoken in this scene. Click the pencil to edit. After changing the words, re-record the voice so audio and captions match — Crealix warns you when they're out of sync.
> **② Voice — the recording**
>
> Shows the voice used and the length of the recording (for example **Ian · 4.1s**). Click **regenerate** (circular arrows) to re-record this line — you can edit the text, choose a delivery preset and adjust speed first. The bin removes the recording. Re-recording a line costs **1 credit**.
> **③ Duration — how long the scene stays on screen**
>
> From **0.5 to 15 seconds**. By default it follows the narration so lines are never cut off. Make it longer to let a visual breathe, or shorter for a fast cut.
> **④ Multi-shot and Remove**
>
> **Multi-shot** splits the scene into several shots so the picture changes while the line plays — useful for long lines. **Remove** clears the scene's media.
> **⑤ Scene media — replace or animate the visual**
>

## Animate a scene into video
Click **Animate to video** on any image scene. A composer opens at the bottom of the preview:
**1. Describe the motion**
Crealix pre-fills a motion prompt from the scene — for example *"The camera slowly zooms in on the ringing phone… the shadows on the wall subtly shift"*. Edit it if you want something different (up to 3,000 characters), or click the sparkle (⑦) to let AI improve it.
**2. Pick the model and settings**
Choose the **video model**, the **clip length**, the **orientation** and the **resolution** (⑤). The note at the top (③) recommends a length that matches the scene's narration so the line isn't cut off.
**3. Generate**
The cost appears next to the button (⑥ — for example **11 credits** for a 5-second 768p clip with MiniMax H3 Max Turbo). Click the arrow (⑧). The clip replaces the image when it's ready and the scene badge changes to **VIDEO**.

> Switch between **Image** and **Video** at the top of the composer (①) to regenerate the still image instead, and use **Library** (②) to reuse a clip you've already made.
### Choosing a video model
Click the model name to open the model picker. Each card shows the model's **price per second**, its **tier** (*Fast*, *Standard* or *Premium*) and the **clip lengths** it supports. Search by name, filter by provider, or sort by **Price**.

Add hooks, CTAs and labels on top of your video, place avatar clips over scenes, and add your own logo.
## Text overlays
Open **Text** in the tool rail. Overlays sit on top of your scenes — use them for hooks, emphasis and call-to-action moments. Some formats add a hook or CTA overlay automatically (like the *"What would you do?"* question below).
**How to add one**
1. Click **Add overlay (②)**.
2. Type your text and choose its **type (③)**.
3. Set **when** it appears **(④)**.
4. Style it in the sections below **(⑤)**.
5. Drag it on the preview to fine-tune the position.
The collapsed card shows the type, the text and its time range — for example **CTA · 56.3s → 59.4s**.

### Video overlays
The **Videos** tab places one of your [AI avatars](/tools/avatars) on top of the video — like a presenter in the corner. Adjust its position, size, rotation, shadow and feather, choose an entrance animation, set when it appears, and mute its audio if you only want the visual.
## Your logo (Mark)
Open **Mark** to put your own logo on the video.
**1. Upload your logo**
Drop an image on the box or click to upload **(①)**. A PNG with a transparent background works best.
**2. Place it**
Drag the logo anywhere in the preview. Use the sliders to set its size and opacity. Corners are the usual choice — avoid the bottom right on TikTok, where the app's buttons sit.
**3. Make it the default**
Click **Manage in My Brand (②)** to save the logo as your default, so it's ready on every new video.

# Covers & thumbnails

Every video gets an AI cover automatically. Regenerate it, fix it, build it from a frame, or design it by hand.
A good cover decides whether people tap. Crealix generates one for **every video** when it finishes generating — made from your video's hero moment, a 2–4 word hook and your visual style — and places it on the first frame of the exported MP4, so TikTok, Reels and Shorts use it as the thumbnail.
Open **Thumbnail** in the tool rail to change it. The panel has two halves: **AI cover** at the top and **manual design** below.
## AI cover
Pick a mode **(②)**, optionally describe what the cover should show **(③)**, and click **Generate with AI (④)**. The new cover replaces the current one **(①)**.

**Cover frame (①)** lists a frame from every scene — click one to use it. Or **Upload** your own image, or pick one from your **Library (②)**.
**2. Write the headline**
Type it in **Title text (③)** and choose a font.
**3. Pick a style preset**
**(④)** **Impact**, **TikTok**, **Highlight**, **Neon**, **Gradient**, **Outline**, **News** or **Clean**. Each preset sets colors, background and effects in one click.
**4. Place and fine-tune it**
**Snap position (⑤)** to **Top**, **Center** or **Bottom**, or drag the text directly on the preview. Then adjust **font size**, **rotation**, **text color**, **text shadow** and **text background (⑥)**. **Reset** starts over.
Save the project and the cover is used on your next render.
## YouTube thumbnails
When you [publish](/editor/publish) to YouTube, Crealix also uploads your cover as the video's custom thumbnail. For 16:9 videos, design the cover at 16:9 so it matches what viewers see in search and suggested videos.

# Voiceover & voice effects

Change the narrator, tune the delivery, re-record single lines and transform the whole narration with free voice effects.
The voice carries most short-form videos, so Crealix gives you three levels of control: **who** speaks (the narrator), **how** each line is delivered (re-recording with tuning), and **what it sounds like** overall (voice effects).
## Change the narrator
Open **Voiceover** in the tool rail.
1. The **current narrator (①)** is pinned at the top with their gender, style and language.
2. **Narration volume (②)** sets how loud the voice is in the mix, from 0 to 100%.
3. **Search (③)** by name, tone or language — for example *"deep"*, *"British"*, *"documentary"* or *"Spanish"*. **Filters** narrow the library by gender, age, accent, language and use case. The counter shows how many voices match (1,890 in total).
4. Press play on any voice to preview it, then click **Use (⑤)**. The selected voice shows **Selected**.
5. **Manage my voices (④)** opens [My Voices](/workspace/my-voices), where you can clone your own voice or design a new one — it then appears in this list.
After you change the narrator, the **Scenes** list at the bottom of the panel shows which scenes still use the old recording. Re-record them from each scene's **Voice** row.

> Changing the narrator doesn't re-record anything by itself — you decide which lines to regenerate, so you never spend credits by accident.
## Tune the delivery
The same tuning you saw in the creator is available whenever you re-record:

## Re-record a line
In **Scenes**, expand a scene and click **regenerate** next to its voice. You can:
* Edit the **text to speak** first — fix a word, add a pause with punctuation, or spell a name phonetically.
* Pick a **preset** and adjust **Consistency**, **Style intensity** and **Speed**.
* Preview, then generate.
Re-recording a scene costs **1 credit**. Crealix warns you when a scene's text or voice has changed since it was recorded, so audio and captions never drift apart.

AI Dramas are short, over-the-top stories with a clear hook, a conflict and a cliffhanger — performed by a cast of glossy 3D characters made of fruit, snacks, gadgets, animals or cars. Each character has its own voice, and every scene is generated as a video clip with dialogue.
**Best for:** daily drama channels, bingeable series with recurring characters, and the “fruit drama” trend on TikTok and Shorts.
## Step by step
**1. Pick the world**
The world decides what your characters are made of: **Fruits**, **Food & Snacks**, **Technology & Gadgets**, **Animals** or **Cars & Vehicles**. The story stays the same — only the world changes — so you can run the same drama in different worlds and see which one your audience prefers.
**2. Pick a trending niche**
A niche is a proven story shape:

**3. Write the premise — or let AI do it**
The premise is optional. Leave it blank and Crealix writes the whole episode from the niche, or add your own twist (a secret, a betrayal, a specific situation) in up to 5,000 characters. **Generate script** turns your niche and premise into a complete story you can edit before creating. You can also paste a full script (see below).
**4. Choose format and quality**
* **Aspect ratio** — 9:16 or 16:9.
* **Duration** — 16 seconds, 30 seconds, 1, 2 or 3 minutes.
* **Dialogue language** — English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian or Mandarin.
* **Quality** — **Normal** (1K image, 768p video — recommended) or **High** (2K image, 1080p video).
**5. Generation path, music and captions**
**Scene images** (review the images first, then animate the scenes you approve) or **Complete video** (everything animated and finished automatically). Pick a soundtrack and a caption style, then **Create video**.

Cinematic short films up to 2 minutes — with a hook, a twist and a payoff, dialogue, and your own cast.
AI Movies turns an idea into a short film. Crealix plans it in **15-second scenes**, draws a storyboard sheet for each scene, then turns every storyboard into a cinematic clip with native dialogue and continuity between shots.
**Best for:** micro-dramas, POV stories, twist thrillers, “what if” films and any story you'd pitch in one sentence.
## Step by step
**1. Write the idea — or the script**
One or two sentences are enough: who it's about, what goes wrong, and the twist.
* *The waitress everyone ignores turns out to own the restaurant.*
* *You wake up in 1850 with 3% battery.*
* *The last dragon works the night shift at a gas station.*
Three helpers sit under the field:
* **Generate premise** — the AI proposes an idea.
* **Write it with an AI** — opens a prompt you can paste into your favourite chatbot to write the script with it.
* **Copy format template** — copies the Crealix script format so you can write a full script (up to 5,000 characters). A full script's scenes are used exactly as written.
**2. Choose duration and language**
Duration goes from **15 seconds to 2 minutes** in 15-second steps (15 s, 30 s, 45 s, 1 m, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2 m). The counter (②) shows how many scenes you'll get — for example *30 s · 2 scenes*.
Dialogue languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian and Mandarin.
**3. Pick the story type and pacing**
**Story type** shapes the structure and tone: Auto, Micro-drama, POV, Twist thriller, Survival / action, Romance, Fantasy, Slice of life, What if…, Comedy or Cinematic silent (no dialogue).
**Pacing** decides how many storyboard panels each 15-second scene gets — more panels means more cuts and a faster rhythm:

* **Storyboards first** *(cheaper)* — Crealix plans the movie and draws one storyboard sheet per scene. Review the panels, then animate the scenes one by one — or all at once — from the editor.
* **Complete movie** — Crealix plans the movie, draws the storyboards, animates every 15-second scene with native dialogue and continuity, and adds captions automatically.
* **AI transitions between scenes** — adds a 1-second AI clip where the story jumps in time or place. Scenes that cut straight from the previous frame are left untouched. Uses more credits.
Add music and captions and click **Create movie**.

A 30-second movie (2 scenes) costs about **139 credits** and a 60-second movie about **273 credits** with **Complete movie** at 768p. 480p is cheaper and 1080p costs more; **Storyboards first** lets you approve the storyboards before paying for video. You're charged on the actual result.

* **Write the twist first**, then the setup that hides it.
* **One location, two or three characters** keeps continuity tight in short durations.

The AI Skeleton format follows a transparent skeleton — so you can see exactly what happens to the body — through survival scenarios, escalating “what if” challenges and head-to-head comparisons, with one narrator guiding the viewer.
**Best for:** science-flavoured entertainment, “how long could you survive” Shorts, and escalating challenge series that keep people watching to the next level.
## Step by step
**1. Choose the skeleton**
Pick the skeleton's material from the **Skeleton library** — **Crystal glass**, **Ice**, **Lego**, **Stone**, **Gold** or **Classic bone** — or use one of your own from **My characters**. It stays consistent in every scene.
**Customize (optional)** tweaks the look in plain words: *"no hair"*, *"wears a hood"*, *"glowing eyes"*.
**2. Choose format and language**
9:16 or 16:9; 16 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes or 2 minutes 30 seconds; the narration language; and **Normal** or **High** quality.
**3. Choose the story format**
The format shapes the staged script:

The skeleton has a single narrator. Pick a voice and use **Voice tuning**: presets (*Natural*, *Documentary*, *Dramatic*, *Energetic*), consistency, style intensity and speed (0.9×–1.2×). **Preview voice** before you create.
**6. Generation path, music and captions**
* **Scene images** *(cheaper)* — Crealix plans the arc and generates the scene images, narration and captions, plus a video prompt for every scene. Animate the clips one by one after review.
* **Complete video** — Crealix plans the survival arc, generates the scenes, animates every skeleton clip with the voiceover, adds captions and finishes the Short automatically.

* **Duration** is a target. Narrated formats go from 30 seconds up to 20 minutes; the final length follows the narration, so it can vary by a few seconds. Formats with an exact script (Script to AI Story, Stock Video, Reddit Stories) take their length from your text instead.
* **Narration language** is the language the script is written and spoken in — 29 in total. The most common are shown first; **See more** opens the full list. Character formats (Talking Objects, AI Dramas, AI Movies, AI Skeleton) offer seven dialogue languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian and Mandarin.

Two switches sit below the tiers:
* **Multi-clip first scene** — the opening scene becomes a quick montage of shots instead of one still. A stronger hook for short-form.
* **Visual continuity** — consecutive lines that describe the same moment share one image, so long videos don't change picture every few seconds (and cost less). Off by default.
Character formats replace these tiers with a **Quality** bundle — **Normal** (768p video) or **High** (1080p video) — because every scene is a clip.
## Visual style
The style decides how every image looks: *Realistic*, *Cinematic*, *Stickman*, *Lego*, *Anime Cel*, *Creepy Cartoon*, *Retro Pixels* and more — 38 in the **Crealix Library**. **My Styles** holds the ones you create from your own reference images in [My Visual Styles](/workspace/my-visual-styles). **Browse all** opens a larger gallery with examples.

## Voiceover and voice tuning
Press play to hear a voice and click **Use** to pick it. **Browse all** searches 1,800+ voices by name, tone or language. Your cloned and designed voices from [My Voices](/workspace/my-voices) appear here too.
Once a voice is selected, **Voice Tuning** appears:
* **Default voice profile** — delivery settings that suit the format or topic (calmer for history, tenser for horror) are applied automatically.
* **Presets** — *Natural*, *Documentary*, *Dramatic* or *Energetic* in one click.
* **Consistency** (expressive ↔ steady), **Style intensity** (neutral ↔ character) and **Speed** (0.9× to 1.2×).
* **Preview voice** plays a sample with your settings before you spend anything.
## Background music and captions
* **Background music** — **Library** (49 curated tracks tagged by mood), **My Music** (tracks you made with [AI Music](/tools/ai-music) or uploaded) or **Custom** (upload a file now). Library tracks can trigger copyright claims on YouTube; your own or AI-made music is the safe choice for monetised channels.
* **Caption style** — 48 animated presets (*Elegant*, *Neon*, *RetroTV*, *Marker*…), plus any you saved in [My Captions](/workspace/my-captions). Both can be changed later in the editor without regenerating anything.
## Characters
**Add characters** (up to 4, or 6 in AI Movies) to keep the same people — or mascots — looking the same in every scene and every episode. The first character is the lead: the story opens on them. Characters come from your [Characters](/workspace/characters) library, where you create and edit them.
## Generation path
The generation path decides whether you review cheap images first or get finished video clips straight away. The names change a little between formats:

* **Straight to video** — scenes are animated during generation, with native audio where the format supports it, and the video is finished automatically. In Topic and Script to AI Story you choose **how many scenes** to animate (③, from the first one to all) and the **clip quality** (④: 480p draft, 768p standard or 1080p full HD).

# Fake Text Messages

Fake Text Messages animates a chat conversation message by message. Every person has their own voice, each bubble pops in with a send or receive sound, and the chat sits over gameplay or any background you choose.
**Best for:** texting-story channels — scams gone wrong, cheating reveals, wrong-number chats, parents vs kids, and anything with a punchline in the last message.
## Step by step
**1. Pick the chat app**
**Messages**, **WhatsApp**, **Instagram** or **X DMs** — the bubbles, colours and header match the real app. Then choose a **Light** or **Dark** theme.
**2. Style the chat card**
* **As messages arrive** (①) — **Card grows** (the card grows with each message, then clears and starts again) or **Card scrolls** (the card keeps one size and the conversation scrolls inside it).
* **Corner radius** and **Card opacity** (②) — lower the opacity to let the gameplay show through the card.
* **Chat header name** (③) — the name at the top of the chat, for example *Mom 💐*. Leave it empty to show the first person on the left, following their nickname changes.
* **Message sounds** (④) — a send or receive sound on every bubble, with a volume slider and a preview of both sounds. A silent chat feels broken, so it's on by default.
**3. Write the conversation — or let AI do it**
**Write it with AI** has two modes (①):
* **Describe an idea** — who is texting, what goes wrong and how it ends. Starters help: *A plumber warns a customer her pipe will burst…*, *A cleaner is accused of stealing a watch…*, *A scammer sends money “by accident”…*
* **Paste a conversation** — paste a chat you already wrote. Your wording is kept and **one line becomes one bubble**, exactly as you wrote it. Direct a line with tags like `[angry]`, `[sfx: boom]` or `[voice: Adam]`.
Pick the **length** (③, from 30 seconds to 20 minutes), turn on **With photos** (④) if you want the AI to drop “photo evidence” into the chat at the turning point, and click **Write the conversation** (⑤). Writing the script is free; with photos on, the button shows how many photos and the most they can cost — you only pay for the photos you get.
**4. Cast who's texting**
* Every person has a **name** and a **side** (②): **THEM** (bubbles on the left) or **YOU** (bubbles on the right).
* Each person keeps their own **voice** (③) for every message they send. **Shuffle voices** (①) recasts everyone at once; **Add person** creates group chats.
* **Base voice** (④) sets the delivery: *Texting*, *Unhinged*, *Deadpan* or *Warm*. **Fine-tune** adjusts it further.

**5. Edit the conversation by hand**
Below the people, the **Conversation** list shows every message (up to 24,000 characters, with a running length estimate). Use the buttons (⑤ above):
* **Add message** — choose who sends it and type the text.
* **Add time skip** — a divider like *2 hours later…* that jumps past the boring part.
* **Add nickname change** — rename a contact mid-chat (*Mike* → *Liar 🤥*), a classic reveal moment.
**Photo evidence** in the chat is generated by AI from a short description — open a photo to view it, describe it differently to reshoot it, or remove it.
**6. Background and music**
Pick background gameplay (or upload your own) and music, then **Create video**.
## Writing a chat that works
* **The first message is the hook.** *"Why is your location at my sister's house?"* beats *"Hey"*.
* **Short bubbles, fast rhythm.** Real people send three short messages, not one long paragraph.
* **Use time skips** to jump past boring parts and build tension.
* **Save the reveal** — a photo, a nickname change or a final one-word reply — for the end.
## Cost
You pay for the **narration** only — plus any AI photos if you turned on **With photos**. Writing the conversation with AI is free. Rendering is charged when you export (or free in your browser).
## Editing
The editor has a chat panel to edit messages, people, voices, time skips and the theme after generation.

# Music Video

Turn any song into an AI visual story, cut to the music, with lyric captions and an animated waveform.
Music Video listens to your song — its lyrics, mood and structure — and builds a visual story that follows it scene by scene. The vocals are transcribed for lyric captions, and an optional waveform reacts to the audio.
**Best for:** musicians and AI-music channels, lofi and ambient visuals, lyric videos, and visualisers for podcast intros or soundtracks.
## Step by step
**1. Add the song**
* **Custom** — drop an audio file (MP3, WAV, OGG, MPEG or M4A), or paste a **YouTube**, **Suno** or direct audio link and click **Process audio**.
* **My Music** — a track you made with [AI Music](/tools/ai-music) or uploaded before.
* **Library** — 49 ready-made tracks (**Browse all** shows them with mood tags).
Once the song is in, **trim** it to the part you want — the video follows the trimmed length.
**2. Choose the format and quality**
Aspect ratio and AI image quality (Basic, Pro or Ultra), as in [Common settings](/formats/common-settings).
**3. Write the visual story (optional)**
Describe how the video should look — mood, setting, characters, story arc — in up to 4,000 characters. Click an idea chip (*Neon city at night, lonely drive*, *Golden-hour road trip through the desert*, *Dreamy underwater world*, *Retro 80s arcade nostalgia*) or **Generate visual story** to have the AI write one that fits the song's length.
Leave it empty and the AI decides from the lyrics and mood. Add up to 4 [characters](/workspace/characters) to keep a protagonist consistent across scenes.
**4. Pick the style and captions**
A visual style and a caption style. Lyric captions are transcribed from the song's vocals **for free**.
**5. Choose the generation path and scene length**
* **Scene images** *(cheaper)* — one image per scene with smooth cinematic motion. Cheaper and faster; bring any scene to life with video later in the editor.
* **Complete video** — every scene is animated into moving video and the music video is finished automatically. The most cinematic result; uses more credits.
* **Let AI choose scene length** — short 6-second scenes, the most images for the best flow. Turn it off to set one exact length between 6 and 15 seconds (longer scenes = fewer images = lower cost).
**6. Style the waveform (optional)**
Turn on the **Audio waveform overlay** to draw a reactive waveform of the song over the video:
* **Style** — *Bars*, *Line*, *Wave*, *Dots*, *Radial* or *Area*.
* **Position** — bottom or center; **Size** — S, M or L.
* **Opacity**, **Glow** (a soft neon halo) and a start/end **color** gradient.
It reacts to the real audio, so beats and drops are visible.
Click **Create Music Video**. The estimate appears as soon as a song is added and depends on its length, the scene length and the path you chose.

## Tips
* **Trim to the best 30–60 seconds** for Shorts — the chorus usually works best.
* **Describe a journey** in the visual story (*from a rainy city to a sunrise on the coast*) so scenes progress instead of repeating.

# Video formats

Twelve ready-made formats plus Studio — what each one makes, what you give it, what it costs, and how to choose.
A **format** is a ready-made recipe for one kind of video. It decides what the form asks you for, how the AI writes and plans the video, which visuals it generates (images, video clips, a chat, a Reddit card…) and how the editor works afterwards.
Open the creator with **Create Video** in the sidebar (or press C) and pick a tab. **Browse all** shows every format with an example, and **From Scratch** opens a blank [Studio](/formats/studio) project. You can also press T and search **All tools**.
## How every format works
**1. Pick the format tab**
The form below the tabs changes to that format's settings. Your last choices are remembered, and anything saved in [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand) is pre-filled.
**2. Fill the form from top to bottom**
Every form is one page of collapsible sections — the idea or script first, then format, look, voice, music, captions and the generation path. Only the first section is required; everything else has a sensible default.
**3. Check the preview and the estimate**
The **Preview** panel on the right summarises your choices (switch to **Examples** to watch finished videos in this format). The bottom bar shows the **estimated credits** and updates as you change settings.
**4. Create, then edit**
Click **Create video**. Credits are reserved, the video is generated in the background (you can close the tab), and it opens in [the editor](/editor/overview) when it's ready. Unused credits are refunded automatically.

# Reddit Stories

A Reddit post card, narrated over satisfying gameplay — one of the most-watched formats on TikTok and Shorts.
Reddit Stories shows a realistic Reddit post card over background gameplay while a voice reads the story, with word-by-word captions. No AI visuals are generated, so it's quick to make and you only pay for the voiceover.
**Best for:** AITA, TIFU, revenge, relationship and horror stories — the classic “story over Subway Surfers” Short.

## Step by step
**1. Design the card**
* **Avatar** — click the picture to upload your own.
* **Username** (u/…) and **Subreddit** (r/…) — for example *u/throwaway\_8842* in *r/AITAH*.
* **Engagement** — upvotes, comments, awards and how long ago it was posted. Type exact numbers or click **Randomize** for believable ones. Big numbers are shortened the way Reddit does it (14876 appears as *14.9K*).
* **Verified** — adds a checkmark next to the username.
Save your usual identity in [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand) so it's always pre-filled.
**2. Choose the appearance**
* **Theme** — **Dark** or **Light**, like the Reddit app.
* **Card visibility** — **Intro only** (the card fades out after the title is read, leaving the gameplay and captions) or **Whole video** (the card stays pinned for the whole video).
**3. Choose format and language**
9:16, 16:9 or 1:1, and the narration language. The duration follows the length of your story — up to 20 minutes.
**4. Write the story**
* **Post title** (①) — the hook, read first and shown on the card. **Select a word** to colour it or make it bold on the card. Click a suggestion (②) to start from a proven title.
* **Body** (③) — exactly what the narrator reads, word for word, in the narration language you picked. Up to 17,500 characters. No story yet? Use the **AI Script Writer** to write one from a one-line idea.
**5. Pick the background gameplay**
Choose from 176 clips — ASMR, Trackmania, Subway Surfers, soap cutting, satisfying videos, Rocket League, Roblox obby, Minecraft parkour, GTA, Fortnite, BeamNG Drive and more — pick **Random**, or **Upload** your own MP4 (up to 4 minutes and 200 MB). Short clips loop to cover long stories.
**6. Voice, captions and music**
Pick a narrator (with voice tuning), a caption style and optional music, then **Create video**.
## Writing a story that holds attention
* **The title is the hook.** Put the conflict in it: *"AITA for telling my sister the truth about her fiancé at her engagement party?"*
* **Get to the point in the first two sentences.** Background can come later.
* **Keep paragraphs short** — captions read better and the narrator breathes in the right places.
* **End with the verdict question or an update** to drive comments: *"So… AITA?"*
## Cost
You pay for the **voiceover** only. Rendering is charged later, when you export from the editor (or free in your browser).
## Editing
The editor adds a **Reddit** panel to change the card, the text and the gameplay after generation.

Turn your own script — or a one-line idea — into a narrated, illustrated story video.
Use Script to AI Story when you know what you want to say. Crealix narrates it, splits it into scenes, writes an image prompt for each scene and illustrates it in your visual style.
**Best for:** creators who write their own scripts, repurposing a blog post or newsletter, voiceover ideas, and any story where the exact words matter.
## Two ways to start
**AI writes it for me**
Give a short idea — a sentence or a paragraph — and the AI turns it into a full script timed to the **duration** you pick.
> A night-shift security guard notices the mannequins have moved.
The more you tell it (who, where, the twist, the tone), the closer the script will be to what you imagine. **Use Ideas Finder** (②) if you need inspiration.
**I have the exact script**
Paste your script. Crealix narrates it **word for word** — nothing is added, cut or rewritten — and **the length of the text sets the length of the video**, so there's no duration to choose.
The AI only decides where to split scenes and what to show in each one.
The small bar above the modes (*English · AI will use these settings*) reminds you which narration language is selected further down the form.
## Step by step
**1. Write or paste your script**
Pick **AI writes it for me** or **I have the exact script** (①) and fill the **Script / Idea** field (③).
**2. Add characters (optional)**
Up to 4 [characters](/workspace/characters) so recurring people look the same in every scene.
**3. Choose format, quality and look**

**4. Pick the generation path and create**
**Images first** (cheaper) or **Full AI Video**, then **Create video**.
## Writing tips for exact scripts
* **Open with the hook.** The first sentence decides whether people stay: a question, a surprising fact, a promise.
* **Write for the ear.** Short sentences, one idea each. Read it aloud once before you paste it.
* **Numbers and symbols are fine** — *"\$2,000"* or *"1,500 years"* are read naturally.
* **About 150 words per minute** is a comfortable pace. A 60-second Short is roughly 140–160 words.
* **One paragraph ≈ one beat.** Paragraph breaks help the AI split scenes where you'd expect.
* **End with a payoff** — a twist, a lesson or a question that drives comments.

# Split Videos

Two videos stacked or side by side — a presenter over gameplay, a reaction over a clip — with optional narration.
Split Videos puts two sources on one screen and lets you decide exactly how much space each one gets. Add a narration on top, or keep the sources' own audio.
**Best for:** an avatar or presenter over gameplay, a reaction over a clip, before/after comparisons, and tutorials with the demo underneath.
## Step by step
**1. Choose the two sources**
Each slot accepts a video or an image: a completed Crealix project, an [avatar](/tools/avatars), an [AI clip](/tools/ai-clips), an [AI image](/tools/ai-images) or an upload (MP4, MOV, WebM, JPG or PNG).
* **Browse library** — pick from your [media library](/workspace/media-library).
* **Upload** (arrow icon) — or drop a file onto the slot.
* **Random** (shuffle icon) — picks a gameplay clip you haven't used yet.
* **Swap** (③) — exchanges the two sources.
Once a source is in, click the **speaker** on its thumbnail to mute or unmute it (avatars keep their audio automatically). Images can be **Animated** (slow zoom) or **Static**.
**2. Choose format and language**
9:16, 16:9 or 1:1 and the narration language.
**3. Set the layout**
* **Top / Bottom** or **Side by side** (①).
* **Space distribution** (②) — a slider per video, from 10% to 90%, or **Quick presets**: 50/50, 60/40, 70/30 or Custom.
* **Live preview** (③) — drag the divider directly in the preview to fine-tune the split in real time.
* **Seam** — **Blend** (a soft gradient between the two) or **Divider** (a hard line).
**4. Choose the length**
* **Auto** — uses the narration's length, or the longest clip if there's no narration (the shorter one loops).
* **15**, **30** or **60 seconds** — both clips loop or trim to fit.
**5. Add narration (optional)**
Write a story to narrate over the split (up to 17,000 characters — the counter shows the estimated duration), or click **Write with AI**. **Starters** help: *Hook + reveal*, *Problem → solution*, *Tutorial voiceover*, *Story time* and *Product demo*. Leave it empty for no voiceover.
**6. Pick a caption style and create**
Captions are transcribed from the audio that's heard — your narration if you added one, otherwise the source that isn't muted (the talking clip). Pick a style now; you generate or regenerate the captions in the editor after creating.

Stock Video pairs a narrated script with real, licensed stock footage chosen to match every line. No AI images are generated, so it's fast and you only pay for the narration.
**Best for:** motivation and quotes, business and finance, travel, lifestyle, wellness and explainer channels — anything where real-world footage looks more natural than illustration.
## Step by step
**1. Write the prompt or the script**
* **AI writes it for me** — describe the video idea, its structure and tone, and what should happen scene by scene. The AI writes a script timed to your duration.
* **I have the exact script** — paste your own text (up to 5,000 characters). It's narrated word for word and its length sets the video's length.
**Use Ideas Finder** for inspiration. The bar above the field (*English · 30 seconds video*) reflects the language and duration you pick below.
**2. Choose the format**
Aspect ratio (9:16, 16:9 or 1:1), duration (15 seconds to 20 minutes) and narration language.

**4. Create**
Crealix writes (or uses) the script, records it, splits it into scenes and finds matching footage for every scene.

## Cost

## Edit the footage
In [the editor](/editor/scenes), replace any scene's footage with your own upload, something from your [library](/workspace/media-library), or an AI image or clip. The footage always covers the whole narration — short clips loop seamlessly — so there are no black gaps, even in 20-minute videos.

# Studio (From Scratch)

Start from a blank canvas and build the video one scene at a time — prompt each shot and pick any AI model.
Studio is for full creative control. Instead of a recipe, you get an empty project in the editor: you write each scene, prompt each shot and choose the image or video model for every one. Nothing is generated until you ask for it, so you only pay for what you make.
**Best for:** ads and product videos where every shot matters, mixing several AI models in one video, and videos built from your own footage plus a few AI shots.
## Create a Studio project
Click **+ From Scratch** at the top right of the creator, or **Start from scratch** in **All tools**.
* **Title** (optional) — you can rename it later.
* **Aspect ratio** — **9:16** portrait (1080 × 1920), **16:9** landscape (1920 × 1080) or **1:1** square (1080 × 1080).
* **Narration language** — the language of any lines you'll voice. **See more** opens the full list.
Click **Create Project**. The empty project opens in the editor.
## Build scene by scene
**1. Add a scene**
Click **New scene** in the Scenes panel, or **+** between two scenes to insert one.
**2. Write the line (optional)**
Type what the narrator says in this scene and generate the voice — **1 credit per scene**. Pick the voice and delivery in the [Voiceover](/editor/voiceover) panel. Leave the line empty for a silent or music-only scene.
**3. Create the media**
In **Scene media** (⑤), choose how to fill the scene:
* **Generate an image** from a prompt — GPT Image 2.5 Flare Medium costs **3 credits**, or pick another image model.
* **Animate it** into a clip with any [video model](/tools/ai-clips) — Veo, Kling, Seedance, MiniMax, Wan, Sora and more. The picker shows each model's price per second, tier and supported lengths.
* **Upload** your own image or video, or pick something from your [library](/workspace/media-library).
**4. Arrange and finish**
Set each scene's duration (0.5–15 s), camera effect and transition, drag scenes to reorder them, and add captions, music, sound effects, text overlays and your logo — everything in [the editor](/editor/overview) works here. Then [render](/editor/render).

Everyday objects with faces, voices and punchlines — short comedic or educational scenes from one prompt.
Give an everyday object a conflict, a complaint, a confession or a ridiculous opinion, and Crealix turns it into a short animated scene with lip-synced dialogue: the toaster that hates mornings, a gym bottle roasting the guy who skips leg day, an old phone begging not to be traded in.
**Best for:** comedy Shorts, product and brand mascots, “if objects could talk” series, and quick educational bits (the kitchen explaining food safety, the car explaining its warning lights).
## Step by step
**1. Write the prompt**
Describe the situation in a line or two. The formula that works: **object + emotion + situation**.
* *A gym water bottle ranting about the guy who never refills it and skips leg day.*
* *A microwave confessing it burns your food on purpose.*
* *An old phone begging not to be traded in.*
Stuck? Click **Use Ideas Finder** (②). The bar above the field shows the language and duration you've picked (for example *English · 14 seconds video*).
**2. Pick a preset and a mood**
**Quick presets** (①) set up a proven angle in one click: Gym Objects, Kitchen Drama, Office Items, Bathroom Confessions, Fridge Wars, Snack Beef, Car Parts Talking, Curiosity Reveal, Absurd Reactions, Secret Hacks, Premium Products, Panic Mode, Chill Commentary and Haunted Tech.
**Moods** (②) set the energy, the facial expressions and the voice delivery. Each card describes what it does:

* **Duration** — from 6 seconds to 1 minute. Videos are built from 6- and 8-second scenes, so only valid combinations are offered.
* **Dialogue language** — English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian or Mandarin.
* **Quality** — **Normal** (1K image, 768p video — recommended) or **High** (1K image, 1080p video — for polished exports).
**5. Choose the generation path, music and captions**
* **Scene images** (cheaper) — Crealix plans the bit, generates the object images and prepares a video prompt for every scene. Approve the visual comedy first, then generate the clips one by one in the editor.
* **Complete video** — Crealix plans the joke, generates the scenes, animates the talking objects with native audio, adds captions and finishes the Short automatically.
Then choose music and a caption style and click **Create video**.
## Pro tweaks
Two switches make the joke land harder without editing every scene:
* **SFX layer** — adds light, context-aware sound effects during rendering: impacts, reactions, comedic beats.
* **Expression markers** — lets the script carry cues like *(laughs)*, *(sighs)* or *(whispers)* so the generated dialogue doesn't feel flat.
## Writing your own script
You can paste a script instead of a prompt. Use one line per object:

Each scene is a generated video clip with lip-synced dialogue, so this format costs more than image formats — about **34 credits** for a 14-second video and about **143 credits** for 60 seconds with **Complete video**. **Scene images** reserves much less up front: you pay for each clip only when you animate it. The estimate updates as you change the settings.

The fastest way to a faceless video. You choose a topic and, optionally, a direction; Crealix writes the script, records the narration, plans the scenes and generates an AI image (or clip) for each one, then adds captions, music and sound effects.
**Best for:** history, horror, true crime, kids stories, personal finance, psychology, science and tech explainers — any channel where the story matters more than a face on camera.

The topic tells the AI writer what kind of video to make — its tone, structure and visual language.

**3. Add characters (optional)**
Up to 4 [characters](/workspace/characters) — the first one is the lead. Use them when the same person (or mascot) must look identical in every scene.
**4. Set format, quality and look**
* **Aspect ratio** — 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1.
* **Duration** — 30–55 s, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.
* **Narration language** — 29 languages.
* **AI image quality** — Basic, Pro or Ultra, plus *Multi-clip first scene* and *Visual continuity*.
* **Visual style**, **voiceover**, **music** and **captions**.

**5. Choose the generation path and create**
**Images first** (cheaper — animate scenes later in the editor) or **Full AI Video** (choose how many scenes to animate and the clip quality). Check the estimate in the bottom bar and click **Create video**.
## What happens after you click Create
1. **Script** — the AI writes a script for your topic, timed to the duration, with a hook in the first seconds and a payoff at the end.
2. **Narration** — the script is recorded with your voice and tuning, and split into scenes.
3. **Scenes** — each scene gets an image prompt in your visual style (and your characters), then the image is generated. With Full AI Video, the chosen scenes are also animated.
4. **Finishing** — captions are timed word by word, music is mixed under the voice, and sound effects are placed on key moments.
Short videos are usually ready in a few minutes. You can close the tab — you'll get a notification, and the project waits in [Videos](/workspace/videos-and-folders).
## Cost
A 60-second video costs about **10 credits** with Basic images or **15** with Pro. Animating scenes into video adds the clip cost (for example about 11 credits for a 5-second 768p clip with MiniMax H3 Max Turbo). Rendering is free in your browser or charged by length in the cloud. The exact estimate is always shown before you create.
## Tips for better topic videos
* **Be specific in the extra detail.** A person, a place, a moment or a twist beats a general subject every time.
* **Match style to topic.** *Stickman* or *Lego* for light history, *Creepy Cartoon* or *Cinematic* for horror, *Realistic* for true crime.
* **Use Multi-clip first scene for Shorts.** The opening seconds decide whether people stay.

Twitter Videos shows a main tweet and its replies as realistic cards over background gameplay. Each tweet is read aloud — with the same voice, or a different voice per tweet for a conversation feel.
**Best for:** hot takes, myth-busting, “things nobody tells you about…” lists, debates and story threads.
## Step by step
**1. Style the cards**
* **Card theme** — **Dark** or **Light**.
* **Display** — **Thread** (tweets stack in one card and auto-scroll with the narration) or **One at a time** (each tweet takes the screen alone, replacing the previous one).
* **Card opacity** — lower it to let the gameplay show through the card while it narrates.
**2. Choose format and language**
9:16, 16:9 or 1:1 and the narration language.
**3. Write the thread — or let AI do it**
**With AI:** describe the thread idea (①) — tap one of the **Ideas** for inspiration — pick the **Video length** (②, 30 seconds to 20 minutes) and click **AI write**. The main tweet and replies are written for you, ready to edit.
**By hand**, the **Main tweet** has:
* **Author** (③) — avatar, display name, **Verified** badge and @handle. The **My Brand** badge means it's pre-filled from your [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand) identity; the sparkle generates a handle from the name.
* **Text** (④) — what the tweet says and the narrator reads.
* **Image** (⑤) — **Add image** from your device, or pick one from the **AI library**.
* **Voice and metrics** (⑥) — the voice for this tweet, plus likes, replies, views and when it was posted (*2h*). The randomize button next to them fills random, believable numbers.
Click **Add reply** for each reply. A reply's voice can be **Same as main** or any other voice. The counter at the top (*3 tweets · 640 chars · ≈ 0:45*) shows the estimated length; the whole thread can be up to 15,500 characters.
**4. Narration, background, music and captions**
Tune the narration (for example *Energetic* at 1.12×), pick the background gameplay and music, and a caption style. Then **Create video**.
## Writing a thread that holds attention
* **The main tweet is the hook** — a bold claim or a question: *"Gym myths you still believe in 2026 🧵"*.
* **One idea per reply**, short enough to read on one card.
* **Mix voices** in debate threads so viewers can tell people apart by ear.
* **End with a reply that invites comments** — *"Which one did you believe?"*

> **A generation failed**

> The credits for the failed work are refunded automatically — check **Settings › Credits › Activity** to see the refund. Click **Try again** on the project. If a single scene failed, open it in the editor and use **Regenerate with AI** on that scene. # How Crealix works

The mental model behind Crealix: formats, projects, generation, the editor, rendering and credits.
Every Crealix video goes through the same four stages. Once you know them, every format, tool and setting in the app makes sense.

## 1. Create: choose a format
A **format** is a ready-made recipe for one kind of video — an AI story, a Reddit story over gameplay, a fruit drama, a glass-skeleton survival video and so on. Each format has its own creator form with the inputs that matter for it (a topic, a script, a Reddit post, a chat, a song…), plus a shared set of options: aspect ratio, duration, language, voice, visual style, music and captions.
If no format fits, **Studio** (the **+ From Scratch** button) gives you a blank timeline where you build every scene yourself and pick the AI model for each one.

## 2. Generate: Crealix produces a draft
When you click **Create video**, Crealix creates a **project** and starts producing it in the background:
**1. Script**
An AI writer turns your topic, idea or post into a script timed to the duration you chose — or uses your script word for word in [Script to AI Story](/formats/script-to-ai-story).
**2. Voice**
The narration (or each character's lines) is recorded with the voices you picked, using the delivery settings of your voice tuning.
**3. Scenes**
The script is split into scenes and each scene gets its visual: an AI image, an AI video clip, stock footage, a chat card, a Reddit card or gameplay — depending on the format.
**4. Finishing**
Captions are timed word by word to the voice, music and sound effects are laid in, an AI cover is designed, and the video opens in the editor.
You can leave the page while this happens. The project shows its progress in **Videos**, and you get a notification when it's ready.
### Images first or Full AI Video
Most visual formats let you choose a **generation path** at the bottom of the form:

> A common workflow: generate with **Images first**, review the story, then animate only the two or three scenes that matter most in the editor. You get motion where it counts at a fraction of the cost.
## 3. Edit: change anything
Every generated video opens in the **editor**. Nothing is locked: rewrite and re-record any line, regenerate or animate a scene, upload your own media, restyle captions, swap the music, add sound effects, text overlays and your logo, and design the cover.
## 4. Render: export the final MP4
When you're happy, click **Render**:

## Credits
Crealix uses one balance of **credits** for everything that runs AI: generating videos, images, clips, music, avatars and cloud renders.
* The creator shows the **estimated cost before you create**, and every AI button shows its exact price.
* Credits are **reserved** when generation starts and **settled on the actual cost** when it finishes — anything unused goes back to your balance.
* **Failed generations are refunded** automatically.
* Editing is free; you only pay when you ask the AI to make something new.

You'll see these badges on every project card in **Videos**:

| **Completed** | Rendered. Download, publish or share it. |
| **Failed** | Something went wrong. Credits for the failed work are refunded and you can retry. |

# Connect ChatGPT

Add the Crealix app to ChatGPT and make videos from any chat.
**1. Open the Crealix app in ChatGPT**
Open the Crealix page in the ChatGPT plugin directory:

**2. Click Add, then Connect**
ChatGPT sends you to Crealix to sign in.

Sign in to Crealix, choose a daily credit limit, when it should ask before spending, and whether it may publish. Then allow access.
**4. Use it in a chat**
Mention Crealix or pick it from the tools menu, and ask for a video. Results appear as interactive cards you can watch right in the chat.

# Connect Claude

Add Crealix to Claude on the web, desktop and mobile in one click.
Crealix works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and mobile.
**1. Open Claude with Crealix filled in**
Click **Add to Claude** in Crealix (**Settings › Connected Apps › Claude**), or open this link:

**2. Click Add, then Connect**
Claude adds the connector and sends you to Crealix to sign in.
**3. Sign in and choose your limits**
Sign in to Crealix and review what Claude will be able to do. Choose a daily credit limit, when it should ask before spending, and whether it may publish. Then allow access.
**4. Start a chat**
In a new conversation, make sure Crealix is enabled in the tools menu and ask for something — *"What can I make with Crealix?"* is a good first message.
## Team and Enterprise plans
On Claude Team and Enterprise, an organization owner adds Crealix once in [Organization settings › Connectors](https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors) using the URL `https://mcp.crealix.ai/mcp`. Each member then connects their own Crealix account.

# Limits & safety

Control how much each connected AI app can spend, when it asks first, and whether it can publish.
Every AI app you connect gets its own permissions and limits. Manage them in **Settings › Connected Apps** (or the **MCP** item in the sidebar).
## What an app can do
When you connect an app, Crealix shows exactly what it's asking for. A connected app can:
* See your name and email.
* See your projects, the catalog (voices, styles, music) and your credit balance.
* Create, edit and render videos, spending credits **within your limits**.
* Stay connected until you disconnect it.
It never sees your password or payment details.
## Edit the limits
Click **Edit limits** (⑤) on any app:
| Limit | Options | What it does |
| - | - | - |
| **Daily credit limit** (②) | 100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500 or **No limit** | The most the app can spend in any 24 hours. The bar at the top (①) shows how much it has used. |
| **Ask me before spending** (③) | **Always**, over 25, over 100, over 250, or **Never** | Anything above the threshold waits for your OK in the chat; smaller actions just run. With **Always**, every paid action asks first. |
| **Allow publishing** (④) | On / off — **off** by default | Whether the app may post to your social accounts. While it's off, your videos stay in Crealix. |
Click **Save changes** (⑤). Changes apply from the app's next action.
## Disconnect an app
Open the **⋯** menu on the app and disconnect it. Its access is revoked right away; your videos and credits are untouched. You can connect it again any time.
## Good practice
* Start with a modest daily limit and **ask before spending** on, then relax it as you get comfortable.
* Keep **publishing off** unless you want the agent to post for you.
* Give each assistant its own connection — limits are per app, so you can trust a coding agent with batch work and keep chat assistants tighter.

In Claude and ChatGPT, results show up as **interactive cards** in the chat — video previews, scene lists and option pickers — so you can watch and choose without leaving the conversation.

* **Costs up front.** Paid actions show their price in credits. Above your limit, it asks before spending.
* **Same account, same credits.** Connecting is free; agents use your normal credit balance and your plan's features.

Make, edit and export your first Crealix video in about ten minutes — every screen of the creator explained.
This guide takes you from a blank account to a finished MP4 using **Topic to AI Story**, the most popular format. Every other format follows the same four beats — **choose, generate, edit, render** — so once you've done this once, the rest of Crealix will feel familiar.

>
> **Before you start:** creating and previewing videos works on every plan, including free. Exporting the final file (render, download or publish) needs an active plan. The example below was estimated at **3 credits** with the cheapest settings, and about **86 credits** with five animated AI clips.
**1. Sign in**
Go to [crealix.ai](https://www.crealix.ai) and sign in with **Google** or with a **one-time code** sent to your email — there are no passwords to remember.
The very first time you sign in, Crealix takes you straight to the video creator so you can start right away.
**2. Open the creator**
Click **Create Video** at the top of the sidebar, or press C anywhere in the app.
The creator has three areas:
* **Format tabs (①)** — one tab per video format. **Browse all** opens the full catalogue, and **From Scratch** (top right) opens a blank [Studio](/formats/studio) project.
* **The form (left)** — every setting for your video, in order from top to bottom. Each section can be collapsed.
* **Preview (right)** — a live summary of your choices. Switch to **Examples** to watch finished videos made with the same format.
The bar at the bottom always shows the **estimated cost (②)** and the **Create video (③)** button.
**3. Choose a topic**
Pick the kind of story you want. Each card has a category tag — *Story*, *Mystery*, *Business*, *Education*, *Health* or *Tech* — so you can scan quickly.
Below the topics, **Extra detail for this topic** lets you steer the script. It doesn't replace the topic — it narrows it down.

> Good extra details are specific: a person, a place, a moment or a twist. *"The day Pompeii was buried, told by a baker who stayed behind"* gives a much stronger story than *"Pompeii"*. Want to write every word yourself? Use [Script to AI Story](/formats/script-to-ai-story) instead.
**4. Add characters (optional)**
**Add characters (up to 4)** keeps the same people looking the same in every scene — and in every episode if you turn the video into a series. The first character is the lead: the AI opens the video on them.
Skip this for your first video. When you're ready, read [Characters](/workspace/characters).
**5. Set the format, duration and language**

* **Narration language** — the language the script is written and spoken in. The most common ones are shown first; **See more** opens the full list.
**6. Pick the image quality**

Two optional switches sit below:
* **Multi-clip first scene** — splits the opening scene into a quick montage of shots instead of one still. Great for hooks.
* **Visual continuity** — related scenes share one image, which saves credits on long videos. Off by default, so every scene gets its own image.
**7. Choose a visual style**
The style decides how every image looks — from *Realistic* and *Cinematic* to *Stickman*, *Lego*, *Anime Cel* or *Retro Pixels*. **Crealix Library** has 38 ready-made styles; **My Styles** holds the ones you create in [My Visual Styles](/workspace/my-visual-styles). **Browse all** opens a larger gallery.
**8. Choose a voice and tune it**
Press play to hear a voice, then click **Use**. Once a voice is selected, **Voice Tuning** appears:
* **Topic default voice profile** — Crealix already applies delivery settings that suit your topic (a calmer pace for history, more tension for horror).
* **Presets** — *Natural*, *Documentary*, *Dramatic* or *Energetic* in one click.
* **Consistency** (expressive ↔ steady), **Style intensity** (neutral ↔ character) and **Speed** (0.9× to 1.2×) for fine control. **Preview voice** plays a sample with your settings.
You can also use a voice you cloned or designed in [My Voices](/workspace/my-voices).
**9. Add music and captions**
* **Background music** — 49 curated tracks tagged by mood, your own [AI Music](/tools/ai-music) tracks, or a custom upload. Planning to publish on YouTube? Prefer your own or Crealix-generated music to avoid copyright claims.
* **Caption style** — 48 animated styles, plus any you saved in [My Captions](/workspace/my-captions). You can change both later in the editor.
**10. Choose the generation path**
* **Images first (①)** — every scene is an AI image with camera motion. It's the cheapest option and you can animate any scene later in the editor.
* **Full AI Video (②)** — the first scenes are also turned into real AI video clips during generation. Choose **how many scenes** to animate (③, from 1 to all) and the **clip quality** (④: 480p draft, 768p standard or 1080p full HD). The box at the bottom shows the clip cost (⑤).

> Credits are reserved when generation starts and settled on the real cost when it finishes — anything unused goes back to your balance automatically.
**11. Check the summary and create**
The preview panel lists everything you picked — language, topic, style, voice and music. If something says *No … selected*, scroll up and fill it in. The bottom bar shows the estimate:
Click **Create video**. Crealix writes the script, records the narration, generates every scene and lays in captions, music and sound effects. Short videos are usually ready in a few minutes — you can close the tab and come back; you'll get a notification.
**12. Review and edit**
When it's ready, the video opens in the editor.
Play it through, then change anything: rewrite a line and re-record it, regenerate or animate a scene, swap the music, restyle the captions or design a cover. Editing is free — you only spend credits when you ask the AI to make something new. See [The editor](/editor/overview).
**13. Render, then download or publish**
Click **Render** (④ above) and choose how to export:
When it finishes, **Download** the MP4 or **Publish** it straight to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram. Details in [Render & download](/editor/render) and [Publish & share](/editor/publish).

# AI Clips

Generate video clips from text or from an image with Veo, Kling, Seedance, Sora, MiniMax, Wan and more.
Open **AI Clips** in the sidebar. Settings are on the left, presets and models in the middle, the prompt bar at the bottom and **History** on the right.
## Generate a clip
**1. Choose the generation mode**
In **Generation Mode** (①):
* **Text to Video** — describe the shot and the model creates it from scratch.
* **Image to Video** — upload or pick an image and describe how it should move. The image becomes the first frame, so this is the way to keep a character, a product or a style consistent. Tip: make the still in [AI Images](/tools/ai-images) first.
**2. Pick a model**
Each card in **Featured Models** (⑤) shows the model's strength (*Fast*, *Balanced*, *Cinematic*), its price per second, its maximum length, and badges for what it supports: **Img2Vid** (image to video) and **Audio** (it generates sound). **View All** opens the full catalog. You can also switch model from the prompt bar.
**3. Set duration, resolution and aspect ratio**
In **Video Settings** (②). The options adapt to the model — for example MiniMax H3 Max Turbo does 5–15 seconds at 480p, 768p or 1080p; Wan 3.0 goes up to 30 seconds with audio; Veo 3.1 Fast and Standard reach 4K. Use **9:16** for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
**4. Write the prompt**
In the prompt bar (⑥), up to 3,000 characters. Describe the subject, the action, the setting, the camera and the mood. Turn on **Prompt Optimizer** (③) to let the model enrich your prompt automatically, or start from one of the **Quick Presets** (④).
**5. Generate**
The button (⑦) shows the total cost — for example a 5-second 768p clip with MiniMax H3 Max Turbo costs 11 credits. **Generation Summary**, at the bottom of the settings, recaps duration, aspect ratio, resolution and cost. The clip appears in **History** (⑧) when it's ready; **Your Videos** lists them all in your media library.
## Writing prompts that work
A strong clip prompt has five parts:

# AI Images

Generate and edit images from a prompt — presets, reference images, quality, aspect ratio and a choice of top image models.
Open **Images** in the sidebar. The page has three columns: **Settings** on the left, the canvas with the prompt bar in the middle, and **History** on the right.
## The prompt bar
Everything starts in the prompt bar at the bottom of the canvas (③):
* **Prompt** — describe the image: the subject, the setting, the style, the lighting and the framing. Two or three precise sentences usually beat a long paragraph.
* **Model** — *GPT Image 2.5 Flare* by default. Click its name to open the model picker.
* **Enhance** (the wand) — turns a short idea into a detailed prompt. You pick an enhancement style first.
* **Reference** (the picture icon) — attach reference images without scrolling the settings.
* **Aspect ratio** and **number of images** — the same options as in the settings panel, at hand.
* **Cost** (④) — the credits this generation will use. Click the arrow to generate.

> A good image prompt names **who or what**, **where**, **the style** and **the light**: *"A ceramic coffee cup on a marble counter, morning window light, soft shadows, editorial product photo, shallow depth of field"*.
## Quick Presets
**Quick Presets** (①) are 21 professional templates — ready-made looks such as *Viral Desk Figure* or *Fantasy Illustration*. Click one to load its prompt and settings, then change the subject to yours. **View all presets** (or **Browse all presets** on the empty canvas) opens the full gallery.
## Reference Images
Drop images in **Reference Images** (②) — or click **Select from library** — to guide the result:
* **Keep a character consistent** across several pictures.
* **Show a product** that must appear exactly as it is.
* **Match a style** from an example image.
* **Edit an image** — add it as a reference and describe the change: *"make it night-time"*, *"put the logo on the cup"*, *"remove the person in the background"*.
## Settings
* **Quality** (①) — **Low**, **Medium** (default) or **High**. Higher quality gives finer detail and cleaner text inside the image, and costs more.
* **Aspect ratio** (②) — **9:16** for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, **1:1**, **3:4**, **4:3** or **16:9**.
* **Number of images** (③) — 1 to 4 variations in one go. The cost is per image.
* **What you'll get** (④) — the output resolution, the number of images and the total credits, before you spend anything.
* **Technical Settings** (⑤) — extra options for the selected model. Use **What to avoid** to list what you don't want in the picture (*text, watermark, extra fingers*).

With the default model, each image costs:

The list grows as new models launch.

# AI Music

Generate original songs with vocals, or instrumentals, from a description, tags and optional lyrics.
Open **Music** in the sidebar. Tracks you make here are yours to use as background music in any Crealix video — and they're a safer choice than library music for YouTube.
## Generate a track
**1. Choose the model**
Two models, both **5 credits per track** (⑤):
* **Lyria 3 Pro** (default) — accepts a description, tags and lyrics together.
* **Treblo v3** — full studio control: a **seed**, the **output format** and lyrics aligned to the music. Use a description *or* tags with your lyrics, not all three at once.
**2. Describe your music**
In **Describe your music** (①), up to 2,000 characters: the genre, the mood, the instruments, the tempo and where it will be used. For example: *"Dark cinematic synthwave for a true-crime short, slow build, heavy bass, no vocals"*. Click **Enhance** to expand a short idea into a full description.
**3. Add tags and style**
**Tags & Style** (②) — pick genre and mood tags: pop, rock, rap, world, electronic, classical and more. **Browse all** shows every tag.
**4. Write lyrics — or leave them empty**
In **Lyrics** (③):
* **Leave it empty** for an instrumental.
* **Write your own** lyrics and use **Add Section** to structure them — verses tell the story, the chorus repeats the hook.
* **Enhance** writes or polishes the lyrics for you.
**5. Fine-tune (optional)**
**Advanced Settings** (④):
* **Energy** — from calm to intense.
* **Balance** — from ambient to rhythmic.
* **BPM** — the tempo, or *auto*.
* **Seed** (Treblo v3) — reuse a number to reproduce a result you liked.
* **Output format** (Treblo v3) — the file type.
**6. Generate**
Click **Generate Track**. The price is always shown on the button.
Your tracks appear in the **Library** panel (⑥) — instrumentals are tagged — and under **My Music** whenever you pick background music in the editor or a creator. **View all music** opens them in your media library.

> If the provider rejects a generation — for example because the lyrics or the prompt match copyrighted material — your credits are refunded. Don't name real artists or paste existing lyrics.
## Tips
* **Say where it's going.** *"Background for a 60-second motivational short"* gives a better-fitting track than a genre alone.
* **Instrumentals under narration.** If a voice will talk over the music, leave the lyrics empty and ask for *"no vocals, low energy"*.
* **Start strong for hooks.** For dance or meme videos, ask for *"no intro, starts on the beat"*.

# Avatars

Create a talking presenter from a curated face, your photo or a brand-new AI character — script, voice, model and performance controls.
Open **Avatars** in the sidebar. The **Studio** tab builds a new avatar video; the **Library** tab keeps your avatars and the videos you've made.
## 1. Choose your avatar
Three ways to get a face (②):
* **Choose avatar** — pick one of the curated faces, ready to use.
* **Upload photo** — use your own photo. A front-facing, well-lit portrait from the shoulders up works best, with a plain background and nothing covering the face. Only upload people who agreed to it.
* **Create new** — describe a character and AI generates a brand-new face: a presenter, a mascot or a stylised character.
## 2. Write the script
Choose how the avatar gets its voice (③):
* **Write script** — type what the avatar should say, up to 5,000 characters, and choose the **Narration Language** (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and more under **See more**).
* **Upload audio** — use your own voice track. The avatar lip-syncs to it, so you don't need a voice.

>
> Write the way people talk: short sentences, one idea each. Punctuation drives the pauses — a comma is a short breath, a full stop a longer one. Read it out loud once before generating.
## 3. Pick a model and a format
**HeyGen Avatar 4** is selected and recommended. Click **Change** (①) to compare the four models side by side:

The cost is the length of the video times the price per second — a 30-second video with HeyGen Avatar 4 costs about 150 credits. The exact total is always shown at the bottom before you generate.
Then pick the **Aspect Ratio** (④): **9:16** Portrait for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, **16:9** Landscape for YouTube and webinars, or **1:1** Square for Instagram feeds.
## 4. Voice, music and captions
Further down the Studio:
* **Voiceover** — over 1,800 voices, with featured ones on top; **Browse all** opens the full library. Your [cloned voices](/workspace/my-voices) are here too. (Not needed if you chose **Upload audio**.)
* **Background Music** — the Crealix library, **My Music** (tracks you made in [AI Music](/tools/ai-music)) or **Custom** uploads. Planning to publish on YouTube? Some library tracks may cause copyright claims; your own uploads or music made in Crealix are the safer choice.
* **Caption Style** — 48 presets in the Crealix Library, plus your own styles under **My Captions**.
## 5. Performance controls
Open **Performance controls** at the bottom of the Studio to direct the delivery.
* **Quality profile** (①) — **360p** Fast draft, **480p** Standard, **540p** HD, **720p** Creator quality (default) or **1080p** Cinematic. Test a script at a low resolution, then make the final at 720p or 1080p.
* **Performance intensity** (②) — **Natural & composed** for a calm presenter, or **Animated & expressive** for more energy and movement.

The controls depend on the model — these are HeyGen Avatar 4's. The Kling models show **Style direction** instead.
## 6. Preview and generate
**Preview** (④) shows your avatar in the chosen format; **Examples** plays sample videos. Below it you see a summary of the language, voice and music (⑤). Click **Generate video** (⑥) — **credits are only charged when generation starts**, and failed generations are refunded. Finished videos appear in the **Library** tab and in your media library.
## Use avatars in other videos
Avatar videos are saved to your media library. You can:
* Place one as a **video overlay** on top of any Crealix video — like a presenter in the corner. See [Text overlays & your logo](/editor/text-and-logo#video-overlays).
* Use one as a source in a [Split Video](/formats/split-videos) — for example a presenter on top and gameplay below.
* [Upscale](/tools/upscaler) it to 2K or 4K.
# Ideas Finder

Get a video idea with a title, a hook and a full script — tailored to your niche, format and length.

## Get an idea
**1. Pick the length**
**Duration** (①): 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes. The script is written to fit — about 135 words per minute of video.
**2. Pick the format**
Under the canvas (③): **General**, **Talking Objects**, **Faceless Video** or **Stock Video**. Each mode writes for that format — a Talking Objects idea is told from an object's point of view with dialogue from the first line; a Stock Video idea uses literal visuals that stock footage can cover.
**3. Describe your niche**
In the prompt box, up to 4,000 characters: your channel, product, audience or rough concept. The more context, the sharper the idea — *"Personal finance for university students in the UK, practical, slightly funny"*. Not sure where to start? Click a **quick start** (②): *Viral Product Angle*, *Faceless Story* or *Object Character*.
**4. Send**
The cost is next to the send button (④): **2 credits** for ideas up to 3 minutes, **3 credits** for 5 to 20 minutes.
## What you get
Each idea opens as a card in the canvas:
* **Title** and a one-line **synopsis**, tagged with the angle and the length (①).
* **Hook** (②) — the first line, written to stop the scroll.
* **Full script** (③) — the whole narration, ready to paste into [Script to AI Story](/formats/script-to-ai-story) or any creator.
* **Actions** (④) — copy the idea, download it as a TXT file, or delete it.

> Ideas are written by AI. Check facts, names, dates and figures before you publish — especially for history, science and news topics.
## Your saved ideas
Every idea is saved in **History** (⑤), grouped by date. Use **Search ideas** to find one, the eye icon to open it and the bin to delete it.
## Use ideas in videos
* **From a creator** — click **Use Ideas Finder** inside a video creator. Each card then gets a **Use** button that sends the idea straight into that creator.
* **In Autopilot** — add saved ideas to a series with **Import from Ideas Finder** in its sources. See [Create a series](/autopilot/create-a-series).
# Motion Control

Make any character copy the movement of a reference video — dances, gestures, actions.
Motion Control takes a **character image** and a **motion video** and makes a new video of your character performing that exact movement. Open **Motion Control** in the sidebar.
## Make a motion video
**1. Start from a preset — or from scratch**
**Featured presets** (⑤) such as *Baby Dancing*, *Girl Dancing* or *Spiderman Dance* fill in both the character and the motion in one click. **Browse Presets** (①) or **Browse All** shows the whole collection. Swap either half for your own afterwards.
**2. Add the character**
Under **Character › Reference Image** (④), upload an image or pick one from your **Library**: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 3,850 px. Use a clear full-body or upper-body image, with nothing covering the character.
**3. Add the motion**
Under **Motion › Motion Source**, upload the video whose movement you want to copy — MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 2 minutes and 200 MB — or pick one from your **Library**.
**4. Choose the motion behavior**
In **Motion Behavior**:
* **Output Format** (②) — **Match Video** follows the motion video's framing and length (up to 30 seconds). **Match Image** keeps your character image's framing (up to 10 seconds).
* **Keep Original Sound** (③) — reuse the motion video's audio in the result.
**5. Add creative direction (optional)**
**Creative Direction** describes the setting, the lighting or the style. It influences how the result looks, not the movement itself.
**6. Check and generate**
When both halves are ready, the canvas shows them side by side:
Choose **Standard** or **Pro** (④), check the cost (⑤) and click **Generate** (⑥). The result appears in **History** (⑦ in the first picture).
## Pricing
Motion Control is priced per second of output:

> Use a motion video with **one person**, a **steady camera** and the **whole body in frame**. The closer your character image's pose is to the first frame of the motion, the cleaner the result.

## How the tools work
Every tool follows the same layout: **settings** on the left, the **canvas** in the middle with the prompt bar at the bottom, and a **History** panel on the right.
* **You always see the cost first.** It's on the generate button before you click, and **credits are only charged when a generation starts**.
* **Failed generations are refunded** automatically.
* **Run several at once.** Up to 5 generations in parallel per tool (3 for the upscaler) — start a few variations and keep working while they finish.
* **History keeps everything.** Reopen and download past results, and jump to the full list in your media library.
* **Combine them.** Make an image in **Images**, animate it in **AI Clips** with *Image to Video*, give it a voice with **Avatars**, then sharpen it with the **Upscaler**.

Open **Upscale** in the sidebar and choose the **Video** or **Image** tab.
## Upscale a file
**1. Choose Video or Image**
The tabs at the top (①) switch between upscaling a video and an image.
**2. Pick the source**
**Upload** a file (②) — videos up to 200 MB and 10 minutes, MP4, MOV or WebM — or click **Choose from my library**. The shortcuts below (⑤) jump straight to your **AI Images**, **AI Clips**, **Avatars**, **Motion Control** videos or rendered **Projects**. For a long video, select the part you need: each upscale covers up to 3 minutes.
**3. Pick the target quality**
**1080p** Full HD, **2K** or **4K** (③).
**4. Tell it what kind of content it is**

* **Made with AI** — clean edges and no fake grain. Best for AI images, AI clips and Crealix renders.
* **Camera footage** — keeps natural texture. Best for real-world video.
**5. Upscale**
The cost is shown on the button (⑥) before you spend anything. The result appears under **Upscales** in your [media library](/workspace/media-library).

A video upscale costs at least 2 credits — for example, 60 seconds to 4K costs about 91 credits. Upscaled videos keep the source's frame rate, up to 30 fps. You can run up to 3 upscales at once.

> Exporting a Crealix video in 4K? Use **cloud render at 4K** straight from the editor. Use the upscaler for clips and images you want to sharpen before using them, or for footage from outside Crealix.

# Characters

Create reusable characters that look the same in every scene and every video.
Characters keep a person, mascot or creature consistent across scenes and across videos. Open **Characters** in the sidebar.
Every character is a name plus one reference image. Click a card (④) to edit it; use **Search** (①) when the list grows.
## Create a character
Click **New character** (③). The editor opens on the right:
**1. Name it**
A name like *Jake*, up to 120 characters (①). It's how the story and the AI refer to them.
**2. Choose how to get the reference image**
(②)
* **Generate with AI** — describe them and Crealix paints a portrait.
* **Upload an image** — use a photo or artwork you already have.
**3. Pick a visual style (optional)**
**Choose a visual style** (③) so the portrait is painted in the exact look of your videos — stickman, cartoon, realistic and so on. A character made in one style looks out of place in another.
**4. Choose the aspect ratio**
9:16 Portrait by default (④).
**5. Describe and generate**
Write the prompt (⑤), up to 1,500 characters, or click **Enhance** to expand a short idea. **Generate** costs **1 credit**. Not happy? Adjust the prompt and generate again.
**6. Create**
Click **Create character** (⑥). The video uses this exact image as the character in all their scenes.

>
> Describe what never changes: face, hair, age, build, clothing and one or two distinctive details (*"round glasses, red scarf"*). Leave out poses and backgrounds — the scenes take care of those.

Each card shows its type and length. **Search** (⑤) by prompt or model, and switch the card size or between grid and list (⑥).
## Open an item
Click any item to preview it. The panel on the right shows everything about it:
* **Script or prompt** (②) — what the item was made from, with a copy button.
* **Details** (③) — the workflow or model, aspect ratio, resolution, duration and whether it has audio.
* **Timeline** (④) — when it was created and completed.
* **Actions** (① ⑤) — copy the link, create a share link, download, publish to social or delete. Use the arrows to move to the next item.
## Use media in a video
In the editor, click **Library** on a scene (or in the background music, overlay and thumbnail panels) to pick anything from here. The same picker has an **Uploads** tab for dropping in new files.
## Uploads
Uploads go straight to secure storage. Common formats are supported: MP4, MOV and WebM for video; JPG, PNG and WebP for images; MP3, WAV, OGG and M4A for audio.
## Storage
The **Storage** meter (④) shows how much you use out of your plan:

The meter turns amber at 80 % and red at 95 %. **When storage is full, new videos, generations and uploads pause** until you free space or upgrade — nothing you already have is deleted. If your plan ends, your storage becomes the Free 1 GB: your files stay, but creating pauses until you're under it.
## Free up space
Click **Free up space** (③) to see what you can delete without losing anything you're likely to miss.

| **Unused uploads** | Images, clips and audio you uploaded that aren't in any video. |
| **Leftover files** | Files produced for videos or generations you already deleted. Nothing shows them any more. |
| **Untouched videos** | Finished videos you haven't opened for a long time and never published from Crealix. |
Items marked **Safe** (④) can be made again or aren't used anywhere. **Select everything safe** (②) picks all of them at once; you can also tick items one by one or **Select all** in a category (⑤). Before anything is deleted, Crealix shows how much you'll free and asks you to confirm.

> Deleted renders can be made again from their project. Deleted projects and files can't be recovered.
# My Brand

Save your default format, language, voice, captions, music, style, identities and watermark so every new video starts on-brand.
My Brand holds your default settings for every new video. Set them once — each creator form starts pre-filled, and you can still change anything per video. Open **Settings › My Brand** (or the **My Brand** button on the dashboard).
## The basics
* **Brand name** (②) — a label for your own reference, such as *Main channel*. Only you see it.
* **Aspect ratio** (③) — the canvas new videos start on: **9:16** for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, **16:9** for YouTube or **1:1** for the Instagram feed.
* **Narration language** (④) — the language your narration and captions are written in.
## Voice, captions, music and style
Further down are the same pickers you know from the creators:
* **Voiceover** — the narrator every video starts with, including [your own cloned voices](/workspace/my-voices).
* **Caption Style** — a library preset or [one of your own](/workspace/my-captions).
* **Background Music** — a library track, **My Music** or a custom upload.
* **Visual Style** — the look of AI-generated scenes: one of the 38 library styles or [one of yours](/workspace/my-visual-styles).
## Reddit Stories identity
The account shown on every [Reddit Stories](/formats/reddit-stories) card: the **profile picture** (①, PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB), the **display name** and **subreddit** (②), the **verified badge** (③) and a **dark or light** card (④). **Default gameplay clip** (⑤) is the looped footage behind every Reddit Stories video — pick one from the library or upload your own (MP4, up to 4 minutes and 200 MB).
## Chat cast and Twitter / X identity
* **Chat cast** (①) — the people your channel texts as. Every new [Fake Text Messages](/formats/fake-text-messages) video starts with them already in the chat. Click **Add person** to add one.
* **Twitter / X Videos** (② ③ ④) — the profile picture, display name, @handle, verified badge and theme of the main tweet in [Twitter Videos](/formats/twitter-videos).
## Your watermark
Your own logo or mark (①) — a PNG with a transparent background works best. Add it to any video from the editor with the [Mark](/editor/text-and-logo#your-logo-mark) tool and drag it into place.
## Saving and using your brand
When you change anything, an **Unsaved changes** bar appears — click **Save**. In the creators:
* Values that come from My Brand are marked with a **My Brand** chip.
* **Reset to My Brand** puts a field back to your default.
* **Set as Brand default** saves the choice you just made as your new default.

# My Captions

Save, edit and reuse your own caption styles across every video.
My Captions is your personal library of caption styles. Open **Settings › My Captions**.
## Create a caption style
There are three ways:
1. **From scratch** — click **New caption style** (①).
2. **From the editor** — in the [Captions](/editor/captions) panel, open **Edit Style**, tweak a style and click **Save as new style**.
3. **From a library preset** — use **Duplicate to My Captions** on any of the 48 presets and customise the copy.
## The style editor
Every change shows straight away in the **live preview** (①):
* **Typography** (③) — font, weight, size and text transform (as typed, UPPERCASE, lowercase or Capitalised).
* **Colors** (④) — the active (spoken) word, the inactive words and the background.
* **Effects** (⑤) — the animation (for example *Beast Pop*), the highlight, the shadow and its color, and the stroke.
* **Layout**, further down — how many words appear at once and where the captions sit.
Click **Save changes** (⑥) — or **Cancel** to leave the style as it was.
## Manage your styles
Open a style's **⋯** menu (③ in the first picture):
* **Edit style** — changes apply to every video you use it in next.
* **Duplicate** — make a variation without touching the original.
* **Delete** — remove styles you don't need.
Your styles appear at the top of every caption picker — in the creator forms, the editor and Autopilot — marked **Yours**.

> Make one style per series or brand (for example *Horror captions* in a serif font with red highlights) and set it as the default in [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand).
# My Visual Styles

Build your own art direction from a description, test it on real scenes, and use it for every AI-generated scene.
Crealix has 38 ready-made visual styles. When you want a look that's yours alone, build it in **Settings › My Visual Styles** and click **New style**.
The builder has three steps (①) and **saves as you go**, so you can close it and come back later.
**1. Describe**
Give it a **name** (e.g. *Soft Clay*) and **describe the look** in your own words (③) — for example *"Stop-motion claymation, warm afternoon light, pastel palette, fingerprints visible in the clay"*. The chips add a **medium**, **palette**, **light**, **texture** or **mood**, and **Improve** refines your description.
Optionally add a **reference image** from your uploads, or **start from** one of the library styles (④).
**2. Build and test**
Click **Build style** (⑤) — it's free. Then click **Test style** (⑥) to paint four sample scenes in the workbench (②) — a **hero**, a **person**, a **place** and an **object** — with the same model that paints your videos. Each test costs **1 credit**. Adjust the description and test again until it's right.
**3. Save**
Pick the cover image and click **Save style** (⑧). The checklist (⑦) shows *Built*, *Tested* and *Cover chosen*.
Your styles appear under **My Styles** in every visual style picker. Set one as the default in [My Brand](/workspace/my-brand), or add it to an Autopilot series' style pool.

>
> Styles are followed literally. Describe how things are **drawn** — medium, line, color, light, texture — not what's in the scene. Leave characters and subjects to the story, so the style works for every topic.
# My Voices

Clone your own voice from a short recording, or design a brand-new voice from a description.
Your own voices show up in every voice picker in Crealix — the creator forms, the editor, avatars and Autopilot. Open **Settings › My Voices**, or click **Create your voice** at the bottom of the sidebar.
## Clone your voice
Click **Clone a voice**. It takes about a minute, in three steps: **Record**, **Details** and **Listen**.
**1. Record or upload**
Choose **Record here** and pick your microphone, or **Upload a file** (②). 15–60 seconds of clear speech is the sweet spot; the recorder stops at 2 minutes (⑤).
**2. Read the sample text**
Choose your **main language** (③), then read the text shown (④) at the pace you want your videos to have. Click **Another text** for a different passage.
**3. Add the details and listen**
Click **Continue** (⑥), name the voice, listen to the result and save it. Cloning costs **1 credit** and is available on paid plans.

> Record in a quiet room, keep a steady distance from the microphone, and speak the way you want to sound in your videos — the clone copies your pace and energy too.

> Only clone your own voice, or a voice you have clear permission to use.
## Design a voice
Don't want to use your own voice? Describe one. Click **Design a voice**:
**1. Describe it**
Up to 500 characters (①) — for example: *"Calm male voice in his 40s, deep and slightly raspy, speaks slowly like a nature documentary narrator."* Use **Enhance**, or start from a **preset** (②): *Warm storyteller*, *Documentary narrator*, *Energetic youtuber*, *Movie trailer*, *Soft ASMR*, *News anchor* and more.
**2. Set language, gender and age**
Choose the main language, the gender (**Any**, **Male**, **Female**) and the age (**Any**, **Young**, **Adult**, **Mature**) (③). Under **Sample line** (④), keep the default line or **Write your own**.
**3. Preview and save**
**Preview** generates three takes for **3 credits** (⑤); you can preview up to three times. Pick the take you like and click **Save this voice** — saving is free.
## Languages
Cloned and designed voices support English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian.

# Social accounts

Connect TikTok, YouTube and Instagram so Crealix can publish for you.
Connect your channels once and publish from the editor or on autopilot. Open **Settings › Social Media**.
## Connect an account
**1. Pick the network**
Click **Connect** on **TikTok**, **YouTube** or **Instagram** — or **Connect another** (②) to add one more account on a network you already use.
**2. Sign in and allow access**
You're taken to the network's own sign-in page. Sign in to the account you want and allow Crealix to publish videos.
**3. Done**
The account appears under its network (③) with the date it was connected, and in the [publish panel](/editor/publish).

## Disconnect
Click **Disconnect** (④) on any account. Autopilot series that publish to it will show *Needs attention* until you reconnect it or choose another destination.

>
> Tokens are encrypted at rest, and Crealix only publishes when you ask it to — from the publish panel, or on the schedule of an Autopilot series you activated.
# Videos & folders

Find, filter, organise, duplicate and manage every video project.
Open **Videos** in the sidebar to see every project you've made, in every format.
## Find a video
* **Search** (②) by title.
* **Filters** — click the sliders button (③) to show the filter bar:
* **Card size** and **grid / list** view (③) — big covers to browse, a compact list to manage many projects.
* Each card (⑤) shows the cover, the **status**, the aspect ratio and the length. Click a card to open the project.

| **Draft** | Saved but not generated yet — for example a Studio project you're still building. |
| **Review** | Generated and waiting for you in the editor. |
| **Ready** | Generation finished — edit, render or publish it. |
| **Rendering** | The final MP4 is being exported. |
| **Completed** | Rendered. Download, publish or share it. |
| **Failed** | Something went wrong. Credits for the failed work are refunded and you can retry. |
## Folders
Folders keep series, clients and campaigns apart. The **Folders** panel (①) lists them all, with how many videos each holds; the same folders appear as shortcuts above your videos.
* **Create** a folder with the **+** button in the panel. Hover a folder to add a **subfolder** or **rename** it — folders can be nested.
* **Move videos** by dragging a card onto a folder.
* **All videos** shows everything; **Home** shows the videos that aren't in any folder. The breadcrumb at the top (*All videos › Home › …*) tells you where you are.
* **Hide the panel** with the button next to the breadcrumb when you want more room for videos.
* Deleting a folder lets you move its videos back to **Home** first, so nothing is lost.
## Video actions
Open the **⋯** menu on any card (⑥):

| **Download** | Downloads the rendered MP4. |
| **Share** | Creates a share link anyone can watch, no account needed. |
| **Duplicate** | Makes a draft copy with all scenes, voiceover and settings — ideal for variations and A/B tests. |
| **Delete** | Removes the project. |
If a render failed, the card offers **Retry render**.
## Start something new
* **Create Video** (④) opens the [video creator](/formats/overview) to pick a format.
* **From Scratch** opens a blank [Studio](/formats/studio) project where you build scene by scene.
