# Tools reference

> Every tool the Crealix MCP server exposes, grouped by what it does.

Your assistant chooses these tools for you — you never call them by hand. This reference is for developers and for anyone curious about what an agent can do.

## Discover

| Tool | Purpose |

| `list_capabilities` | Everything Crealix can make, with examples. |
| `get_creation_guide` | How to brief a given video type well. |
| `browse_catalog` | Voices, visual styles, music, caption styles, models and more. |
| `show_options` | An interactive picker card (e.g. choose a voice or style). |
| `get_account` · `check_plan` | Plan, credits and what's available. |
| `get_brand` · `update_brand` | Read or update your [My Brand](https://docs.crealix.ai/workspace/my-brand.md) defaults. |

## Plan and create

| Tool | Purpose |

| `validate_plan` | Shows a video as a proposal — script, look, voice and cost — before anything is created. |
| `estimate_cost` | Prices an action before spending. |
| `create_video` | Creates a video in any format from an approved plan. |
| `create_project_from_scratch` · `add_scenes` | Starts a Studio project and adds scenes. |
| `generate_scene_media` · `animate_scenes` | Generates scene images or clips; animates scenes into video. |
| `create_character` | Creates a reusable character. |
| `search_stock_media` | Finds stock footage. |

## Edit

| `rerecord_narration` | Re-records narration after text changes. |
| `update_captions` · `save_caption_style` · `delete_caption_style` | Caption look and your saved styles. |

| `add_sound_effects` · `add_text_overlays` | Sound effects and text overlays. |
| `set_cover` | Generates or sets the cover. |
| `remove_project_items` | Removes scenes, overlays or sounds. |
| `undo_last_change` | Reverts the last edit. |
| `duplicate_project` | Makes a copy to try variations. |

## Media and files

## Render, share and publish

| `render_project` | Renders the final MP4 (720p to 4K). |
| `get_status` | Progress of generations and renders. |
| `create_share_link` | A public link to watch the video. |
| `get_publish_options` · `list_social_accounts` | Where it can be published. |
| `publish_video` | Publishes to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram (only if publishing is allowed). |
| `list_posts` | What has been published. |
